Puntland Fisheries Minister and Director General Suspended from Work

Garowe (PP News Desk) — Puntland Minister for Fisheries Mohamud Haji Salaan and the Director General of the Ministry Abdirisaq Jama Taraag have been suspended from their jobs due unresolved issues.

Puntland State Vice President Ahmed Osman took the suspension decision after the Minister and the Director General had exchanged blows at the Ministry premises.

Puntland Vice President yesterday held meetings with the Minister and the Director General but did not manage to solve their differences.

Minister Mohamud is reportedly contemplating to tender his resignation.
