why do children play?

Recommended Posts

why do the children play and what is the importance of play?

In children, play is a necessary vehicle for normal physical, social and cognitive development. Through their play children can develop and learn skills necessary to cope with adult life. There has been one popular theory that play helps children to practise and prepare for adult life in a natural way. Play helps he children to move in and out of reality. It teaches the children to master and control their feelings, and then they could cope with their anxieties and conflicts. Play also helps the children to make sense of their experiences and to deal with their lives.

the african children become at very early age independence and they work for their parent instead of playing, but it doesn't mean the western children are more intellegent so they can cope beter with their adult life than we africans.
