In an interview, Zakariye, a member of the Federal Parliament, said that President Farmajo had lied to the Federal Parliament, saying that the ousted Prime Minister was opposed to the election of a person and a vote and that he wanted an election. Two weeks after the election, the people brought us to the polls.

Asked if he had not nominated the prime minister for more than 30 days, MP Zakaria said:

Zakariye said he did not know the president did not want the prime minister to be in the country.

He said the current constitution removes the provision that requires the president to nominate the prime minister within 30 days but the president forgets that the new constitution will make up for what is missing. The Prime Minister will be held accountable for his actions, said MP Zakaria

However, President Farmajo may remain in office if the 1960 constitution repeals that he nominates a new prime minister within 30 days.
