BOB, Raggeedee then.

Castro, I don’t know if uul is Somali but it’s a color. It’s used especially for pigeons. Jaanogow is a cooked goad-head. It wouldn’t appeal for your Awdali forefathers, I know :D .

Quful-Sideed...

Cuq (only if you had chickens)

mishkaaki..(yummy)

kushineeto (oh what a childhood)

PS. no wonder kids of today are either over weight or plain Ciyaal Maamo because they have no idea what Fun really is, they only know PS2  .

.

Unlikely. My old man would know it though if it's not slang that is.

Why don't come up with something from all the poems you know instead of the ciyaal-xaafad lingo. The latter is time and place dependent. So someone in wardhiigley won't necessarily know something from madiina or if it's a decade apart.

Salguurin

Lifaaqayn

Jibaarid

Goldooxid

Codbeddelid

Farcamid

First stab:

1) Move.

2) To set someone up.

3) Take to the power (laba jibaar and so on..)

4) Huh?

5) Voice change.

6) Improvise.

^^Thats right, good BOB.

Salguurid---wiping out

Jibaarid—--raising to a power of some number

Lifaaqayhn—--appending a thread to a needle

Farcamid—--producing offspring

Goldooxid—-- probably causing some fatal damage :D

Codbeddelid---voice altering

Try this one:

Dudun

And for fun, translate this proverb:

Caano baqay haddaad aragto, waa bi'iso naagood.

^^Saaxiib, you should have given us our dues :D .

Castro, try Raage Ugaas's eulogy for the passing of his beloved wife.

Sida koorta Yucub oo la sudhay, korommo buubaal ah

Ama geel ka reeb ah oo nirgaha, laga ka xaynaayo

Ama beelo keynaan ah, oo kor u hayaamaaya

Ama ceel karkaarrada jebshiyo, webi karaar dhaafay

Ama habar kurkii iyo wadnaha, lagaga kaw siiyay

Ama kaal danley qaybsatiyo, kur iyo dhal yaabis

Shinni kaaluf galay ama siddii, koronkorkoo oomay

Xalay kololo’aygii ma ladin, kaamil reeruhuye

Kunbulkiyo ardaagii miyaa, laygu kaliyeeyay?

Wixii laygu kuunyeeyay miyaa, igu karaamoobay?

Kunbiskii miyaa layga qubay, kolayo ii buuxay?

Maantana kataantii miyaa, layga kala qaaday?

Kob abaar ah oo dhexe miyaa, koore ila meeray?

Kub miyaan ka jabay biixiyaan, kabayo loo haynin?

a diversity literature for some, i know :D .

Congrats. I knew you had it in you. :D That poem was heavy artillery saaxib. I understand most of it. Just where do you get all of these poems? I know you don't have them memorized. Ok, it's not impossible that you do but quite improbable. :D
