  1. Faynuus It's criticism and pointing out facts, not insults. Learn the difference yarisay and don't be emotional. Brofessor_Geeljire I know the urge to play farax knight in shining armor is difficult to suppress. But know that no one was insulted here, just pointing out the fact that bad mothers are the reason somali kids have failed. Whatever richard burton was is neither here nor there, he made an observation and that observation remains to be true in some cases today.
  2. Clan elders are mediators, many a skirmishes and clan battles would have erupted into something worse if sultans, elders did not get involved. They are invaluable saxiib and should not be underestimated.
  3. Yey was baptized with tigre urine.
  4. what sort of lessons do they teach in i.c.u school besides argaggxiso 101?
  5. unknown1 There is nothing wrong with chewing khat and smoking, as long as it's done in moderation.
  6. Elections? You mean clan appointment? This ilka jir does not come from a prominent clan, so he has no chance. Cadde the tuug will probably bribe he's way into continuing to be the head mafiaso.
  7. pucca what are you trying to say? ma ku fahmin.
  8. Originally posted by The Zack: looooooooooooool. You like them round, huh? haa sxb round and brown baan jeclahay, abble bottom baa la dahaa. very nice! African girls(non somali) have nice bodies laakin very hideous faces, large nose and rough hair. Their bodies make up for it though.
  9. Afro girl I liked you better when you had the sexy girl dancing as an avatar.
  10. ibtisam my views have been sobering for the drunkards that roam this place, it's time you all got out of the bubble you live in and join the real world. I tell the truth, wether people want to hear it or not.
  11. ibtisam You butcher the somali language worse than me, but I bet I'm older than you.
  12. Brofessor_Geeljire Midgaan, Jareer, adoon, niger etc are just mere words. How you react to them is what gives them power. This world isn't an ideal place, learn to have a tough skin. Calacaalka meel kale la aad badowyaho.
  13. Originally posted by Ibtisam: ^^^I can explain it by the lack of fathers, they are bad role models who waste all their time chewing and come home when the kids are leaving for school. Don't contribute to the Childs up brining and discipline and to top it all off, does not approve of birth control and wants a child every year. There have been many cases where a father does not know the names of his kids, but there is yet to be a mother who does not remember her kid’s name. Other factors such as society, poverty, lack of opportunities and popular youth culture can also be used to explain dysfunctional families. I'm certain birth control is haram, so why even bring it up? Other ethnic groups are known for having large families, yet they don't have as many problems. I concede lack of fathers, etc are a contributing factors, but it's the mother that makes the biggest difference in children's lives. How she behaves and raises her kids is the most important factor.
  14. Brofessor_Geeljire Either comment on the topic at hand or meesha ka tag sxb. naga jooji the constant whining, who's forcing you to read these comments?
  15. Originally posted by *Blessed: ^Funny, that always seems to be the case. Richard burton is overrated, but nonetheless he does make an interesting observation. May the geel always be praised.
  16. why are you ladies playing coi? I know some of you enjoy being stared at especially those who wear skirts etc why else would you wear them if not to be stared at? I can understand hijabi's complaining, but not those who don't wear hijab. If I see a girl without hijab on and dressed western , I stare at her up and down all day like she's a piece of meat to my hungary lion of a penis, gazing and salivating at her breasts and buttocks. She either likes being stared at or gets embarrassed and leaves. Either way, it's a win win situation. The hijabi's get some respect.
  17. ma been baa sheegay in every thread? I don't think so. What's there to be positive about? Do you want me to join the chorus of delusional ****** here? The ONLF's goals are noble, which can't be said for many other groups. I'm just criticizing their methods. [ August 17, 2008, 02:45 PM: Message edited by: Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar ]
  18. I will do absolutely nothing differently, and neither will everyone else here. I will feast on delicious sambus and food and perhaps go to the mosque for tarawix when possible. Ramadan for some people is like new years, everyone has a resolution of what they'll do differently, but no one actually sticks to it consistently.
  19. Geel_Jire I don't agree with the bad mothers, because my mother was top notch, laaking there are some bad somali mothers. dayus, saqajan etc are just mere words.
  20. The ONLF is an unorganized clan rebel movement, they've been fighting ethipions for so long and have achieved virtually nothing. They need a new strategy, and get the other clans in that region involved if they want to do real damage to the xabesh.
  21. "He recalls that in the olden days, Africans were not allowed to live in Eastleigh, which was reserved for Asians and Somalis. Some Ethiopians whose country was free by then were free to live in the area as they ranked higher in the social ladder than Africans" I found this the most fascinating, how pathetic are africans that they were treated as second class citizens in their own country. It's too bad, somali's can't get their act together. We could be running the whole of east africa.
  22. Quite an observation from richard burton on somali women, explains why somali kids are failing today in the west, some somali women are naturally bad mothers. Also the cold temperament is unfortunately too true for some but not all. "Somali women are of cold temperament, the result of artificial as well as natural causes: like the Kafirs, they are very prolific, but peculiarly bad mothers, neither loved nor respected by their children. The fair sex lasts longer in Eastern Africa than in India and Arabia: at thirty, however, charms are on the wane, and when old age comes on they are no exceptions to the hideous decrepitude of the East"
  23. ^ A lie told often enough becomes the truth, you're really hoping that's the case aren't you? Just as delusional as puntland, tfg, al shabab supporters. Somali's have no sense of a bigger picture, no peripheral vision what's so ever. Pathetic, waste of oxygen, the lot of you.
  24. Speaking of somali girls, I was just reading richard burtons first footsteps in east africa and he made this interesting and funny observation about somali women, and it's probably still true today: "Somali women are of cold temperament, the result of artificial as well as natural causes: like the Kafirs, they are very prolific, but peculiarly bad mothers, neither loved nor respected by their children. The fair sex lasts longer in Eastern Africa than in India and Arabia: at thirty, however, charms are on the wane, and when old age comes on they are no exceptions to the hideous decrepitude of the East"

Should we forbid this clan politics and join you in Somalia to have.........? You're veering off into to the tangential, who you join or don't join is none of my concern. I'm merely pointing the blatant hypocrisy among you somalilanders. Somaliland region is nothing more than an ethiopian proxy ruled by clan politics, no different than the rest of somalia.
