After four hours of lecturing his captive MPs today, Abiy stated Ethiopia wants a small piece of land, has 100 plus million people, and the fact Somali rivers originate from Ethiopia. No mention of Ictirifaac, just what Abiy wants and thinks.

Hadda saan Xabasha ugu haro rabaa oo uu fursad kale siiyo. Why is he not doing everything Muuse Muqayil meesha kaga tuuro, siyaasad ahaan iyo dhaqaalo ahaan?
Why is he not empowering Reer Awdal iyo Sool. Does he think Xabashada inay saan ku hareyso?
It has to be something in his nature.

Historical enemies and internal traitors?
it looks like Abiy's government is readying for internal and external enemies namely Amharas, Eritreans and Somalis. He will be addressing his rubber stamp parliament tomorrow.

If true, AS is taking advantage of the crisis created by Abiy

Inay dhici doonaan shaki kuma jiro. And why not, the opposition is weak and easily manipulated.

Ethiopia cant face eritrea now it needs to weaken Eritrea first and this is a method they are using
He supported them cuz he viewed Afars as more loyal and less troublesome than Somalis, not to mention cleansing the road/rail linking Djibouti and Ethiopia of Somalis.
If you see Abiy and his lot mentioning the Red Sea, it is no accident. Abiy is not a rational leader, it does not matter to him if he has the force to fight Eritrea or not.

Abiy doesn't care about Afars. He let the TPLF ravage them and gave them little to no help when the war finished. Why does a member of Ethiopia's Parliament & State Minister for Irrigation Development Projects talk about Afars and the Red Sea now? Not too long ago, Abiy noted Afars and Somalis should be able to access the since their brothers across the borders have access to the sea.

Abiy's minions are now back to provoking Eritrea and using Afars which they say is a natural passage to the Red Sea.

11 hours ago, Arafaat said:I sense that’s what Abiy is also hoping for and preparing for, a war against Eritrea and hoping to unify Ethiopians in the toppling of the regime and catching of the sea there. He desperately hopes for a National cause to win, and this recipe has been successfully tried before by TPLF.
Soomaaliya waa cad meel yaala waiting to be snatched. If Abiy couldn't convince Ethiopians to steal the Somali coast, I don't think he can convince them to attack Eritrea which already has a presence in Tigray and is embedded with Fano.
That won't stop him from trying though.

Abiy renews the state of emergency in Amhara region.

2 hours ago, Arafaat said:There were times that many Somali’s thought or assumed that the collapse of the state would lead to a much better alternative or times for everyone’s, which wasn’t the case across the board. And there were times that many believed waging a war against Ethiopia will lead to the unity of the Somali people and on the contrary the opposite happened and it led to disintegration.
So let us not assume this false that Ethiopian disintegration is in Somalia’s interest or Somali’s interest. Better focus on what’s in the interest of the Somali region, and I still think that one shouldn’t just wait for the outcomes of the power politicking in Addis, but think, conceive and nurture an alternative political pathways and narrative for the Somali region, such as seising the opportunity to steer the strengthening of economic, business, social and cultural ties between Somali region(Kilinka) and rest of Somali peninsula.
Like the clan rebels that toppled Barre regime, I don't think they have any plan for the day after. They are not even doing much to secure the rights of Somalis within Ethiopia.
