  2. The movement against Shabaab in Gedo and Jubooyinka has hopefully commenced.
  3. Stoic how can you support partition of Somalia but desire unification for NFD Somalis who are divided along clan lines? Are you not following the usual pattern of siding with reer Tol though you lament such a thing is a detriment towards you in your place of birth? It is an oxymoron buddy.

As for Cabudwaaq, those guys don't give a crap about this Sufi thing, they know its a political ploy by the USC folks, they withdrew long ago and are now forming "Central State." I could not disagree with you more. Caabudwaaq is the center of Ahlu Sunnah stand in central Somalia. It is where the chairman of the movement is, it is where the head of the foreign affairs department is and it is where the leaders of their armed movement are based. They are comprised from all over the clans in central Somalia but to say the movement is irrelevant in the place where it is officially headquartered is not grounded on reality. Xeraale is where the ideological creed of Ahlu Sunnah is the most strongest. It is the spiritual home of the movement there. Latest is that Al Shabaab has retreated from the town: Source
  6. Reer SSC waa wadaniyiin halbowle u ah midnimada Soomaaliyeed.

Glad to see he has your support.
  8. Perhaps this topic signifies above all why Somalia is mired in quagmire.

The reason for his choice is clear... What makes him a novice? He has been in government for over thirty years, educated on matters of governance, and has experience in managing budgets and planning than any Somali leader anywhere in power in Somalia now. Not to mention he is an educator on matters of conflict resolution which is what Somalia desperately needs.
  10. Congretulations to Mudane Farmaaje and God speed on his task.
  11. Libaahe, the U.S government's recent policy change with respect to the autonomous northern states was strictly designed to clarify the situation in the south for people most impacted by it and can have maximum influence where the stability of Somalia will be designed from.
  12. Blast from the past miyeey yiraahdeen. And no adeer, I comment here and there.

Lama hadlin odayga anigu, laakiin I know he received a call from Shariif when odayga was in Italy. The President asked him to come to Nairobi. Shariif likes him, but family knows his lack of enthusiasm for the PM Job is a negative that will work against him. He is the man who personally asked Shariif to satisfy few conditions if he is going to serve as his PM. Odaygu nin iska ordaya maaha. It is highly expected Shariif will take the easy way out and appoint someone not setting conditions. I very much like and respect Jangeli and like you said, I personally know he is not very enthusiastic about the PM job or any job in "transitional" civil war Somalia. Cabdulqaadir Adden Sheikh is one of the most passionate wadanis I know and could never allow himself to partake in a situation where foreigners particularly Ethiopia will dictate to him on Somalia matters. You come from a good family.

I said this couple days ago while the rumour was in early phase but it seems news has finally picked up Col Cabdulqaadir Sheekh Cali Diini, a '77 war hero, the older brother of Dr Cabdiqani. http://www.jowhar.com/news.php?readmore=1821

  19. It is indeed true were I to recite the Sayid's infamous designation a mere hundred years ago which carried stanzas alluding to madax kaluumeed, but be that as it may you have now led me to conclude your familial designation within the Puntland nation considering there are one or two of such families in the Hawd. Who would have known such a thorough bred would be reer Kismaayood where I assumed reer Qandala and reer Qardo where the only such greater families.

I think she shot herself on the foot because she should rather have campaigned for another individual who is a real candidate and negotiate on a top ministerial post then move on to her ambition for one of the top posts. I heard inay rabitaan madaxweyne iyo PM leedahay laakiin iyadoo awalba jaaniskeedu cuslayn bay u sii dhammaysay...Waa runtaa Axmed C/Salaam ayaa si weyn u doonaya in Saciid noqdo PM as well but we will see. Gd nite bro. Will you forgive me for not knowing anything about Saacid, though I have met on more than one occasion and am very familiar with ayeeyo Caasho Xaji Cilmi from reer Xaaji Cadaado even though Saacid is my abti? Would love to see a Somali female executive chief among them ayeeyo Caasho.
