  1. Maybe the reason some single sisters might go for the married man is because he is mature,is financially secure and knows aready how to treat a lady. Unlike the single brothers who are having hard time trying to get one because they are aready too cought up on all the ladies they are talking to....they need to stick with one and see how it goes........wah hunguri badan yihiin...lol..that is my take.... what do some of the ladies thinK?
  2. Guys who are too serious and get upset over small things....
  3. Woow....I am so disappointed with Somali Men now a days. His reaction is dup founded. There is no base for him leaving. Now a days, we somalian sisters have to move on and not even marry somali men. They are always hungry for leaving and getting married to divorced woman.
  4. Hi Guys, I have read your posts. Some were funy some really helpful. I don't think I am ready for the gym...it is so cold where I am living. I am still lazy about exercising...so I probably start drinking water and walk little more. I am 140 pounds but goodness I feel like about 160 pounds....is it because I don't exercise...? I don't know.
  5. Hi Everyone, I have recently gained 30 pounds, and I want to absolutely to get it off. I don't exercise and work too much and not to forget eat much of the time ouside. Any good advice that accually worked for you would be helpful. Thanks
  6. Baby Girl, Most of the girls who are in heartache don't take advices very seriously because we tent to go with what our heart says instead of what our brain tells us. My simple advice is to get "The Rules: Time-Tested Secrets for Capturing the Heart of Mr. Right". It is great book for any sister to have, I am not sure if it will help you with this situation but it will definitely save you any heartache in the future. I certainly have purchased this book and read it over and over again. You can order it on eBay for $1.00 US. Also, checkout the website posted below to visit the authors homepage, where you will find reviews of the book. If you go to your local library, they might just have it.I would say it is MUST READ BOOK! Please go to this particular page on the Rules.com website. http://www.therulesbook.com/topten.html Check out the ten rules all sisters should uphold! ...I know for cadan some of the rules, but we can change a little to suit it for our Muslim sisters)! Sista please don't loose your energy over what he is doing; he might be going through stress eg. Work, home. Please find way to hang with your girls and take your mind off of him, trust me you are worth more. Hope this helps!' FirstLady
  7. What do Somali Women want, I can't speak for every sister but I sure can tell you what I want when it comes to men. I want a man who has his things together, someone focused with a great career and a great personality. I wish there were brothers who did not just talk the talk, but who could act on their words, unfortunately many brothers think they are in this category (educated, good personality, has Iman, and ready for marriage category). But there are few who fill there positions, others just talk about how sisters can not make up their mind. Truth to be told I don't mind any brother challenging my view point. It is that simply analogy. Thanks, First Lady

  10. Thanks to both for all your support and advice. I started healing aready by making myself busy with chores and life. Again, I don appriciate for taking the time to write two words of advice. It really is hard thing to do, but as one of you said, it happens even when we want to avoid it. Thanks again,
  11. Hi My sisters, I have recently went through breakup and wanted any advices from sisters who been there before. What did you do to that made you heal faster? 14. Hi Tyjwania, glad you have joined this thread. Most brothers, like to take care of their shukansi from the back door. Some would like to private message and ask what I am saying if it is real. Truth is a am just opening a debate that is all. I guess, most brothers would be little weired about asking even questions to gain more knowledge, cuz they are afriad of "what if". Anyway, it has been very interesting readings, about what brothers here do think. When some people say I am brave....that doesn't mean I don't have Xishood because I do. For the sake of debate, i wrote this post. Just to see what some of the brothers might ask and enjoy what some has to say. Have great week everyone.
  15. Asalamu Aleykum, My friend would like to thank all the people who showed support and posted valuable Islam website for him to get information about the religion. Another good news is, he will be going to the Masjid Insh Allah on friday, for the prayer and talk to the Imam, to gain more knowledge. He stil has some questions. Insha Allah, things will work out. Again, thank you for all your help. I am sure he really appriciates it. If any one knows of a membership/club where converted people help each other and gain knowledge from each other in around toronto area. He would really appriciate if anyone knew if that existed. Again Thank you and May Allah bless you!
  16. Thanks thinker, are you steppping up to the plate. Are all the brothers here afriad to talk publicly about getting to know someone for marriage. Com'on, guys you can do better than that. For everyone out there, I am not definatly a lonely heart, if you so me you probably think this gal is aready taken. Don'e jude a cover that you haven't even seen. Secondly, I am still looking for a brother who is confident to challenge me. Anways, Didi how do you raise the bar as you say we need to.
  17. Nicole Kidman does not deserve Keith Urban, the guy is too good for her. She is old mama and he is hansom ausie. Bad news if you ask me.

  20. Hi,I have a friend who is Christian who would like to learn about our wonderful religion Islam. He wil be reading the posts and would appriciate any advice you might give. The Letter he wrote: Dear Friends, I am friends with a wonderful young woman who is Muslim and I feel that our relationship is growing stronger as time passes. I feel that perhaps one day if all goes well we would have the potential to get married. I’ve been told that a Muslim can only marry a Muslim and therefore if we were to get married I would need to convert. I come from a Christian (United) home, have been confirmed, and attend church with my family each Sunday in the summer when I return home from university. I have a deep respect for all religions, and am comfortable speaking about converting, but as you can understand changing religions is a big decision and I am somewhat hesitant.I would like to ask you if you have any guidance for us. Perhaps you know of other people that have been in our situation. Thanks for listening and helping us,
  21. For the sister who asked how do you know when you get a good pair of shoes? Well sister, try them on at the department store, walk around a little, see if they fit you well and if they are the style you like. Some styles that loook great on others might look horrible on you or vise versa. In terms of relationship, checkout how he is others, how he acts with his family, friends. Observe is personality, be friends at the beganing, you get to know what ticks the person. Then after only you can assess if you want (purchase..lol)..want to be with this person or not. That is atleast what I think! Hopefully I helped you with your question. Firstlady

  23. Hi Pacifist, just want to say thanks for the great Dua'. I have heard it before. I make sure I recite it more often. Again thank you, and let me know if you fit my profile.
  24. For all the brothers and sisters out there. I was told getting married at the age of 25years and older is a bad thing. I am 24 years old and wanting to get married. If there are brothers out there who are highly educated, religious and financially secure. Who respect sisters and their mothers and have goal in life. Someone with great personality and enjoys life. If that is you, I want to get to know you because I think we have something in common, so please drop me a line or two and I'll respond back to see if there is a fit. Thanks so much to all. FirstLady
  25. the bottom line is love is what you make it to be. Some people may mistake love for lust but love is what you make it to be. Love is not the physical beauty of the person who captures your mind but deep personality and the characteristic of what you like about the person you are invatuated with. Eg. Faith,Education,Personality(how he/she treats elders, how he/she treats you, respect)etc. I think we can make ourself fall for who we want to be. Most times people fall for what is in the outside, eg. financially secure man, basketball player, model look like. Those are just the physical looks, you need to connect in a different level. Last advice, when looking for love, do yourself a favour, look for someone who you want to have long-term relationship(marriage). Relationship and love is like shoes. We see often this pair of shoes we are dying to have, we try it, they are either too big, hurt our feet, or too tall. So we end up not getting it. If we treat love as like shoes where we have choice. First observe it, see if this new love is right for you, or see if it was shoes would it be confortable for you to wear it...(lol). Anyways, That is my take on love. Simple! Give me feedback it I am right on the question. FirstLady
