    surely, FGM is a taboo/barbaric subject to talk about..however, since we have the courage now to address the subject, I suggest we(all sistas) should start a campaign to educate our communities bout this cynical act that our culture still approves of..

     

    Thx to all the comments on the this *&%$#'s book, I was gonna read the book, Iam damn sure that I will just let it slide...she sure looks disgusting as Jaber explained it..showing ur cuchi..lol...Oh!!malaya mkubwa...efiww...she has embarrassed our lineage and generation..& w/t strong sistas putting a stop to this kind of "potrayal of somali culture"....we're doomed to shame..

    yeah!yah!!! all that mambo jambo of constitutional rights is bullshit...I totally agree with Maskiin...try that trick and 4sure ur *@ will land in jail..BTW, this country is built by U, whoever said that this country was built by Americans, honey! u got brainwashed..ur posterior won't be sitting at home, even if u were, the govt. will make sure; if they know that U r young, they will force U to go to school, sot that U can have an education, get a good job and the start repay back by paying taxes....they make sure everyone is "USEFUL" to this country...even the diasabled have specific jobs and workforce...lol

    they attract pple with "opportunities",exactly what it means is to work ur * off just like they did with the Africans, to work as slaves in the cotton fields down south or use them as manual factory workers up in the north..or the chinese and Irish, to build the railways and roadways, ..or the jews to work in the sweatshops of the east coast...and the list continues....

     

    Oh yeah! talk bout freedom, the founders of constitution; themselves were slave owners...2condly, racism exists(just like 1 of my instructors said)"blindly", ....

    like someppl's said love exists..however it exists in different levels...I have experienced it and I think it exists as level of " true understanding of 1 another"..

    Often, 1 says that a mother always loves her children unconditionally,..no that's not the case in this world..how can u explain when a mother gives her child up 4 adoption..nevertheless, in our culture lots of kids grow-up without their immediate family around and they end up bonding to

    other family members...

     

    C, ur parents might "love each other" 4 the more than 60yrs or the rest of lives till death do them apart..but its because of the compassion, respect, understanding, how they treated each other, and most of all the enjoyment of each others company that kept 'em together all this time..

     

    Yes, ppl marry 4 lots of reasons..but according to love their is only 1 TRUE LOVE..but how can u explain the marrying of upto 4 wives?( that our religion allows)...would u say that this man loves all his wives equally? ofcourse he might...but really??????

    wow, its amazing to see how sistas differ only on 1st date...c'mon ya'll its only the 1st date...anyway, I agree with ladyf...very original

     

    However, personally I like a guy who is sporty..U know kinda more adventureous..probably go bowling or watch football in his house while enjoying a homemade eatery(ofcourse made by him).Flowers are very romantic, but not roses...try something else 4 gods sake...e.g. daisies, lillies etc..be creative....

     

    Oh yeah!guyz better learn how to cook coz the world isn't whach u thought no more..

    Qlanjo, sis I feel 4 u and whach U r going thru' however, what I don't get it is: how can U (urself) be going out with this nigga when u dont luv him , after all this tyme?? I mean I can understand when U really dont care bout someone, but r u sure U dont really care 4 this guy? Bcoz it seems 2 me that there must be something that this guy is sticking around 4? whether he finds u to be a married material or not;it might be that he is taking U friendship(?) very interesting and serious that he is assuming that he luvs u instead...instead of friendship....

     

    From my point of view, kick him to the cab(with dignity & respect) b4 someone is obssessed...4real this *@ happens and it might be U next...

    its all bout communication sis..parents know best but they might be outdated lit' bit..the most important thing is that, parents r the best librarians...talk to them, make them ur best friends and eventually they will understand....remember gal, U will only have One parents in ur life...men can come and go...it's ur call when it come to anything else...but don't lose contact with ur parents over some SOB who U dont know if he is gonna be with U 4ever or not...

    I agree with jaber and ladyFatima( ma gal wassup..U know me, finally we meet)...however,now its changed to "macawis-looking pants.We call 'em googaradh'in those flashy colors ..u know like green, yellow and ofcourse purple and blue"...then a sancuating shirt that is worn on top of a vest,t-shirt, and a pullneck; on top of each other respectively....." last but not least, the deal is sealed with..."ITALIAN SHOES" aha, u know wha r am talking bout.....

    I would advice U to take ur heart serious not fall inlove with this guy. Anyway, if the guy is hardcore...maybe show him some signs of not wanting to pursue the relationship further..anyway, but however weigh ur options b4 u make a decision...but how can this guy be still luving U when obviously he sees that u r not interested in him...R u giving him signs or mixed messages.that probably confuses him???.....
