I think it is the right time to discuss his performance thus far. He has failed in SSC, in fact exasperated the whole situation. Instead of dialogue he has ignored, confronted and belittled this important group without presenting anything alternative to the status quo. His support for Sharif Sakin and running around to Addid Ababa and disappearing for a few days is absolutely unacceptable. Over all I would say that it’s high time to step up the anti Faroole campaign. Puntland needs better leadership and less PR. Its never to late, Puntland needs reform and the people can see it wont get much with Faroole in the helm. Its time for a change of leadership and a direct unified confrontation against Faroole and his nonsense.

Sharif Sakin has no power other than being remote controlled from Afar. The IGAD countries were the ones that made the move for an extension. They suggested it and Sharif Sakin was told to implement it and he did. Farmaajo showed some independence and challenged the UN, and was moved aside. Nothing to do with Sakin, remember he was against Farmaago’s selection, tried to oppose it and lost the parliament vote, which Farmaajo got. Thus it was in Kampala and not in Mogadishu, under the full support if UNPOS and Uganda that Farmaago was forced out. However these demo’s and the outcry, both manufactured and real will damage Sakiin. No doubt he has outlasted his usefulness and the foreign power that have nurtured him are already looking for a replacement. The phenomenon of public hype of this kind does wonders for some. Many remember the effect this had on an unknown pious dugsi teacher back in 2005.. Sakiin & Sharif Ahmed are both damaged goods and are on their way out.
