  1. ^^ Isn't FB the best place to air your doubts though? Had she told you this face-to-face you'll probably have a fist fight. KK, xawaasha waa loo bahanahay. Wax fahan. By the way poeple, this topic should not be about the girl herself and her background, you should view it as a problem that actually exists (FB or no FB). What should be done?
  2. ^^ She's still in millat Ibrahim I suppose. All she has to do is proclaim the moon as her god then reject it. Go for the sun then reject it and, hopefully, she'll finally go for the true god. Hevean and hell is way off yet.
  3. A&T, we play for the same team warya. Bacda iska fur. Yours was a good example, no more no less.
  4. FEARS of possible xenophobic attacks by vindictive elements in townships around Nelson Mandela Bay have forced Somalis to stay in solidarity groups to ensure their safety. But despite incessant rumours, no Somali shopkeepers have vacated their shops in fear or been forced to leave townships like New Brighton, Kwazakhele, KwaNobuhle, Motherwell and Walmer, where such incidents took place in the past. A spokesman for the Somalis, Abdirahman Ahmed, said while nothing explosive like the incidents in Cape Town had erupted in Port Elizabeth or other places in the Eastern Cape, they had urged their members to be more vigilant and work with communities and the police to prevent any violence. “We encourage our members to stay and integrate themselves with the communities. We take part in sport and attend residents’ meetings,” Amhed said. One of the Somalis in New Brighton, Muktar Mohamed, said he was living in constant fear after some youths in the neighbourhood taunted him about a planned attack that would drive Somalis and other foreigners out of the country. “We don’t know what will happen. They tell us to go to our home country.” About a month ago Mohamed’s Save More spaza shop was robbed of R3000 by armed robbers who forced their way into the business at midnight. A week ago three armed men allegedly walked into the Somali-owned Halaal Supermarket in Avenue A, New Brighton, and opened fire. No one was injured. Owner Jamal Abdi Hashi said he was alone in the store when the attack occurred in what appeared to be an attempt to instill fear and panic in Somalis. “I was behind the counter. They pointed the gun at me. One bullet hit the wall and they ran away.” He said he was worried there might be more attacks. The Eastern Cape chairman of the Somali Association of South Africa, Dino Jilley, said they were powerless in the face of danger but hoped the police and communities would protect them. “We do not have power. We only urge our members to treat customers well and be polite. We even encourage them to speak Xhosa and show support.” He said many Somalis felt South Africa was their new home and they should work with its citizens to develop it. The owner of the Corner Cafe, in an informal settlement outside New Brighton, Abdullah Hussein, said he did not anticipate any xenophobic attacks as local residents treated them as fellow citizens. “People and young children call us ‘my friend’. They help us learn Xhosa and invite us to their homes.” Hussein said he had operated his business in the area since 2003 and had never been attacked because he happened to be a “foreigner”. He pointed to Somali artist K’naan – whose sensational song Waving Flag was made the official anthem of the World Cup – as an example of how Somalis could bring people from different cultures together in peace and harmony. http://www.weekendpost.co.za/article.aspx?id=584058
  5. Somali woman Asha Ali Abdille, 36, has pleaded guilty to a charge of trying to hijack an aircraft flying from Blenheim to Christchurch. Abdille made the guilty plea in the High Court in Christchurch today at a pre-trial hearing. Justice French took the plea after ruling Abdille was fit to stand trial on eight charges. Abdille had been examined by two psychiatrists, one of whom considered her "eminently fit" to stand trial even though she might be mentally impaired, Justice French said. Abdille was remanded to the care of Hillmorton Hospital until sentencing on August 27. She faces seven other charges, including four of wounding, but Crown prosecutor Pip Currie said the Crown would not be offering evidence on the other charges. Abdille tried to hijack the 19-seater Jetstream aircraft carrying two crew and seven passengers on February 8, 2008. She carried three knives on board and after a scuffle was overpowered by the crew. She was arrested in Christchurch. One pilot suffered a severe cut to his hand and the other cut his foot. Source
  6. ^^ You're worse than Norf. Archdemos, a culture of godlessness in universities? You're in the UK, saaxib. Surely it is quite the opposite. There is a culture of overzealous Islam in Universities (the Hezbu El Tahrir legacy).

  11. What summer Malika? Is it sunny in the back of nowhere again? Dull and cloudy here.
  12. ^^ I blame the mullahs. They pushed and pushed until we've reached this point. Now, the only way is backwords. You see it everywhere too! You see it here. A&T wants music, dancing and no hand cutting. But stops short from leaving the whole game altogether. KK gives an ultimatum and says if the faith means following a certain group, consider her out. Razes talks about breastfed men! Many others talk about Foreign ideas and Pakistani dress. If things go on as they are, I dare wager that in twenty years time people will start looking down on mullahs and the conventional wisdom will be the one that your friend is advocating above (she's a pioneer, she is). Yet, it is a shame. A real shame.
  13. ^^ The first time I went to a night club, I did not even know it was a night club. I was a fresh qaxooti and joined a group of qaxootis on a night out. Once I was in, I looked around me and saw people dancing, music playing and drink flowing. I did not feel comfortable at all. I went and stood in a dark corner and watched my friends dance with fat old white ladies. That's when the DJ put on "Losing my religion" by R.E.M! Life is bigger It's bigger than you And you are not me The lengths that I will go to The distance in your eyes Oh no I've said too much I set it up That's me in the corner That's me in the spotlight Losing my religion Trying to keep up with you And I don't know if I can do it Oh no I've said too much I haven't said enough I thought that I heard you laughing I thought that I heard you sing I think I thought I saw you try

  15. Liverpool have rejected a £5 million bid for defensive midfielder Lucas Leiva, according to the People. The Merseyside club have been in negotiations with Italian club Palermo over the 23-year-old, but the Serie A side have failed to reach Liverpool's £8 million valuation of the player. The talks have been headed by Liverpool Managing Director Christian Purslow, with Roy Hodgson having no say in the deal which took place before the former Fulham boss took over at Anfield. Although Roy Hodgson would like to keep hold of the Brazilian midfielder talks are in too advanced a stage for the 62-year-old to have any influence over the sale. Palermo are believed to be willing to match the asking price for Lucas though they would first have to sell a number of surplus players in order to fund the move for the former Brazilian young player of the year. Austrian midfielder Paul Scharner, who is now a free agent, is being touted as a potential replacement for the Brazilian with Hodgson being a great admirer of the former Wigan player. But Hodgson may also have to look for someone to replace Javier Mascherano who is expected to leave Merseyside in the summer with both Inter Milan and Barcelona showing interest in the Argentina captain. Meanwhile Moroccan winger Nabil El Zhar has stated he would like a move away from Anfield after becoming frustrated with a lack of first team opportunities. El Zhar has had few first team chances since arriving on Merseyside from St Etienne in 2006 for on undisclosed fee, and believes it is best for his career if he leaves the club for pastures new. "I want to leave Liverpool. I do not play often enough." El Zhar told the Moroccan media. "I'm 23 and I cannot afford to only play a few bits of games. There are several European clubs interested and I will not close any doors." This story has been reproduced from today's media. It does not necessarily represent the position of Liverpool Football Club. Author: The Sport Review.com Tagged: Lucas , Lucas Leiva

  17. Gheelle, this is London dee not LA. It is an old city and the houses look great from the inside not the outside. Have you not seen Number 10 Downing Street? The house is in an area where celebrities and the rich live. It is in a central part of town and the area is full of houses/places where famous people from history lived, etc.

  21. Maaddeey, ha iga baxsan warya. It's been a while since I got serious about any topic in here. Most of the SOLERS wa adiguu meedhan dee. I don't pay attention to what they say once I realise it's pure xamaasad. Adiga se, you give the impression that you fight for a nobler cuase and I'd be cheating myself if I did not pick your brains in such a way that proves to me you are right or one that shows me you are nothing but xamaasad. War ma jannadaaad ii diidaysa dee? Wax sheeg.
  22. ^^ Every story has two sides indeed but you only mention them to those who don't know, saaxib. We KNOW! I maqal; if you disagree with the killing of innocents it should be ALL innocents. Today it is happening in Xamar but YESTERDAY it was in Kampala. When you say you don't agree with it but (in the same breath) also try to remind us of xamar, the message we get is that you actually agree with it (because of Xamar). Are you being a munaafiq or just confused? Do you support Al Shabab for faith reasons or just anger? Could you have two opposite moral positions all at the same time? Anigu waxaygi Xamar yaa lago dilay ama Kampala yaa lago qarxiyaay maaha, saaxib. Anigu waxaan eeganayaa fikradaan "XAQ" la yidhaahdo waxa ay tahay? Ma diin ba? Ma Moral ba? Ma aarso ba? Ma xamaasad ba? Mese waa iska hadal uun? Previous arguments along similar lines
  23. Al Shabab are only doing it the Brazilian way. Police sure Flamengo goalkeeper having watched mistress' murder Flamengo's Bruno Souza is escorted by police as he arrives at the homicide police station in Rio de Janeiro July 7, 2010. Bruno, the goalkeeper of Brazil's most popular soccer team, on Wednesday surrendered to police probing the disappearance and possible murder of his ex-girlfriend, in a case that transfixed the soccer-crazed country.(Xinhua/Reuters Photo) Brazilian police are convinced that Bruno Fernandes, goalkeeper of world-renowned soccer team Flamengo, was present when his former mistress, Eliza Samudio, was killed. Police Chief Edson Moreira, who is investigating the case, said on Thursday that Samudio's murder was planned. According to him, a witness testified that Bruno was one of the men who beat Samudio and was present when she was strangled to death. According to the witness, who is Bruno's 17-year-old cousin, Samudio was kidnapped in Rio and taken to Bruno's cottage in the town of Esmeralda in neighboring Minas Gerais state. On June 9, she was reportedly taken to a house in a nearby town, where she was beaten and strangled to death by Marcos Aparecido Santos, a former police officer and Bruno's friend. According to the teenager, he, Bruno and his ground guard Luiz Henrique Romao all watched while Samudio was killed. After the murder, Santos reportedly mutilated Samudio's body and threw the remains to the dogs he kept in the property. The others returned to Bruno's cottage, where the player burned Samudio's belongings and drank beer by the pool. Chief Moreira said he was shocked by the cruelty of the crime and called Bruno a monster. http://english.peopledaily.com.cn/90001/90777/90852/7059202.html
