  2. ^^ Ngog played well warya. He held the ball up well and chased lost causes all night. It was just one of those games. Played well and lost. I'm not blaming anyone.
  3. There is a mafrash opposite that place. The guys there are hardcore Kulmiye supporters. I met one of them in the street yesterday and asked him about the party. His reply: "War Somaliland @#&^%! Qiyilaaday naga qaseen. Islaamo iyo odayaal aanaan arkin ila barigii qaxa ayaa i arkay anuu bahalka la dhuumanya".

  5. ^^ Just goes to prove my argument about the depths of squads this year. Chelsea struggled because they have no Ballack, Lampard or Essian in the middle of that field. Spurs thrived because they replaced an injured Kabul with a speedy Bassong and VDV with Defoe. We played well. I'm not too disappointed with this defeat.

So as long as ONLF dont support Somaliland, I keep supporting Ethiopia. A pointless hissy fit.
  7. ^^ Like I said, every last player for Barca has to be on his game not just Messi alone. As for playing at home, go check out Barca's only home loss in the league this season. Mourinho is not suspended, saaxib. It was a two match ban and he's already served it.
  8. ^^ You said Jose got lucky! Lucky is when you scrape to a 1-0 win, saaxib. Not when you beat Barca 3-1 in their own ground. In the return leg, his team lost 1-0 when playing with 10 men. Do you call that lucky too? War give credit where credit is due. Jose outthought Barca in that game and I believe he will do it again. Guardiola is a good coach but he is not in the Jose class.

Not sure of the historical context but he is right about the article. Mr Farah wrote it in 1978 so you could hardly expect him to be objective (that word again) enough. Still a good read.
  10. Guru. Guru wherefore art thou guru?
  11. When Barca are on their game there really is no team in the world that can cope with them. But Barca hardly ever need to be on their game (only two or four of their players usually turn it on against most teams and that is enough. Against Madrid, they will REALLY have to be on their game. Jose is first and foremost a defensive man. But with Madrid (finally), he is a defensive man with the cream of world talent at his disposal. I believe that he will get the better of Barca in this game. This season, I have seen Ronaldo tracking back and helping his defenders. I have seen Di Maria do it and even saw Ozil drop to his own half. Jose seems to have instilled tactical awareness into this Real team. However, when was the last time you saw Xavi or Ineista drop into their own half (for Barca or Spain)? Honestly, I do not recall to have ever seen them do such a thing. Madrid are going to play counter attacking football and what better counter attack can there be than Ozil, Benzema, Ronaldo, Di Maria, Marcelo or Haiguain? To top it all, the battle in the middle will be quite impressive. Alonso rarely misplaces his passes and, yet, he is faced with the world's best passer of a ball. It is going to be like a Lucas wet dream on Monday, sideways passes galore. And that is where Messi and Pedro will find that they're being double teamed by Di Maria/Ramos and Ronaldo/Marcelo walls. If Barca win it, I expect David Villa to play a big role in their goals. If Madrid does (it'll be either Ozil or Benzema). Great prospect either way. P.S. Only Rafa knows to get under Jose's skin.
  12. Heh@Real Somalis. (I meant it when I said it was a good read).
  13. ^^ Doesn't need to. June 2010 saw to that. Originally posted by Thankful: Lol, Ngonge atleast I am up front about my position about secessionists. You on the other hand pretend that your issue is only with Faroole for some reason, when it is quite obvious there is way more to it! Told you that you would not agree. As for Faroole. Stop being paranoid, saaxib. Yes there are political differences between SL & PL (and clan differences), these will probably always remain. I will always take the SL side (obviously & politically speaking). However, when it comes to Faroole, it is something personal. Also, unlike our positions on Somaliland (where you disagree and I fully agree), Faroole is actually someone we can both despise, saaxib. Have you ever seen me badmouthing Abdullahi Yusef (and he was ten times the man Faroole is), have you ever seen me talk about Cade? Wax fahan.
  14. ^^ I started by saying that whatever we told you would not matter. You disagree with the whole idea of SL, saaxib. So why waste your time and ours on this nonsense? The figure of 97% is of those that voted for the Somaliland constitution (which includes a clause about independence). If you google you will find. Originally posted by The Zack: ^They will come back and tell you they were never part of Somalia or they were a country even before Somalia was one . I love the way you are sure of yourself when you don't know a thing about this issue.
  15. It's snowing in south London.
  16. ^^ Anna waxaan ka baqayaay inay Siilaanyo i moodaan.
  17. ^^ What's their e-mail? I may feel like taking a stroll in that direction tomorrow.
  18. NORF, waar I'm telling you the expected response they want from you. Wax fahan.
  19. Originally posted by Al-Haji Abtigiis & Tolka: quote:Finally, in a valuable assessment of the recognition issue, the author justly points out that Somalia ‘no longer exists … despite the fiction dreamt up by African, Arab, and international diplomacy to serve their vested political interests’. I think Ngonge needs evidence here! Why in th world would I ask for such a thing? Nope. No evidence needed. The quote is perfectly acceptable as it is.
  20. ^^ You're supposed to act shocked when they say it and say that as a proud Somali from a region that produces the highest number of lifestock in the world, it is an insult to eat brains (or something along those lines). But, knowing you, you probably thought they were praising your good brains! (like I said, I don't know if some Somalis eat it or not. I can't speak for all Somalis).
  21. ^^ (I forgot my phone at home yesterday). There is some urban myth (amongst Arabs) that says Somalis do not eat the head of a sheep (I wouldn't know, I don't myself). So, in order to annoy Somalis, the Arabs keep referring to MUKH (maskax) every time they see a Somali.
  22. ^^ War kaa naga daa. Show me the photo ayuu hada ku waalan doona.
