    hi.

By conspiracy Call me what you call me but I don't belive in intercultural marriage, thats beside the fact the guy might be muslim, I wouldn't be thrilled if my sister or daughter decided to marry a non-somali. I'd probably do everything I can to change my sisters mind and for my daughter she could forget about it!! Call you what I think? ok here goes....RACIST!! why does it matter if he's muslim?
  3. Directionally challenged I'd say I have a cousin who'll actually look at her two hands to find out which one is midig or bidix and the only way she can tell is which one she eats with.
  4. wonder what manner of side effects are in the pipeline with this one.You just can't tamper with creation like that and get off scott free

No debate here bro just an exchange of views. Why wouldn't you be prepared to be questioned about your views when you post them on a public forum? That does not mean that I don't respect or appreciate your views.
  7. 2005 was one of the most eventful and challenging years for me and Alhamdulilah I gained alot but it also taught me some lessons that will last me a lifetime. All in all....not bad at all.

    Feeling Blue?

How about all the horrible things alot of us went tru.Don't they make us alot more likely as depression candidates?Guess you haven't seen somalis of all ages being more and more depressed now.Staff at the HCMC in Minneapolis have quite a few interesting stories in this regard also schools where kids end up being labelled all kinds of special-ed simply because we have a phobia of therapy. At least the cadaans get help while we pretend it's not even there until it escalates out of control.
  10. My first vote goes to castro for being outrageously funny at times. My second one goes to Liibaan even though am not vertically challenged!
  11. at tha pimp thing. Who would you be solving cases for?Cowardly faaraxs who can't fight their own battles?or again is it a case of lessons learned the hard way??

Really and truly, I think depression is for the white folks. How can a somali differentiate himself/herself from all others and confess they are feeling the so called "blues"...that's BS, especially when we all departed from africa. There's no such thing as depression, it's a depressive disorder that we put among ourselves to believe in That was a joke right??..No?Why would it be a white folks disease  That has to be the most racist of comments  and are you denying it existance or are all those affected Somalis just seeking attention? Is depression unheard of in Africa or is it something in our skin tone that makes us immune? I guess that's why people don't get the help they need on time when people like you are in denial that it is even there.Wake up and take a look around at all those affected and you just might learn a thing or two.
  13. Then why would you be with her in the first place and take her to the store??Thug are you sure that it is not bitterness over old wounds when some girl took you for a ride and it still hurts?
  14. Yoonis guys like you need to be confined coz you have a contagious mental illness with those ideals
  15. Ain't nothing wrong with making use of the variety out there! Who cares what his skin looks like if he makes you happy?
  16. And you guys wonder why Xalimos go for cadaan guys?????When you talk about the cheap dinner you bought ur last date? What exactly is gold digging when the money goes to the restaurant or store or whateva? CHEAP is the word for u Faraxs! The Mac Fillet thing was funny though at least Liiban is willing to spend however limited his thin wallet is
  17. Kama umewakaribisha mbona tena unawaita mafala? kwani wame kufanya nini hawa walendo?
  18. It is these times that I remember to say a heartfelt Alhamdulillah for all the blessings that Allah gave me.I am glad am not her but wish it didn't have to be so.Truly sobering.
  19. Surah Hajj 11] There are among men some who serve Allah, as it were, on the verge: if good befalls them, they are, therewith, well content; but if a trial comes to them, they turn on their faces; they lose both this world and the Hereafter: that is loss for all to see This rings true for alot of us today. We are so good in good times and fall apart when things don't go our way like Allah owes us something.SubhannAllah. May Allah guide us. Ameen
  20. InshaAllah we are headed toward Allah on the right path
  21. Deep..... So what exactly were you telling your friend??? did he/she find it confusing as well as annoying?
  22. Castro u are impossible Can't believe you posted an exercise!! As for the lost generation here...yes bad parenting is a factor but let's not forget that these parents are often dealing with more than they know how to handle. originally by Wordette Fourthly, they should set expectations, and rules. If the kid doesn't meet the expectations, and breaks the rules, then they should beat him/her until s/he throws up blood. Okay maybe that is a little extreme but at least beerka waa inay ka xashiriyaan. Preferably with a Left hook. Seriously, parents should take note from Bernard Hopkins, and (without mercy) go hard to the body with their kids. (Getting hit in the liver is what dropped De La Hoya out, stone cold! and he was fighting quite valiantly for eight rounds People.) A bit radical I would say!

Muhammad Alhamdullilah that you are ok.Minneapolis and its snow!!!The wado was horrible shalay. Not seeing the brilliant sunlight that I took for granted back home is depressing. All it takes to snap me out of it is the sunlight regardless of it being -20 degrees. As a community we do need to take the stigma out of depression.Surprisingly even those of us who should be more tolerant like the more educated or even those who work in hospitals think that Somalis shouldn't be depressed, which is really wierd, since its not a joke and can really cripple someones life if they don't get help.Yes, we do believe in Allah and we should pray and take our loved ones as our support team to help but we should be willing to seek help when we can't handle it.The first step is acknowledging that you have a problem and that this is not just caajis going on and on over weeks.
  24. weird... But yes abortion is murder
