  1. When Equating ISLAM with terrorism, do this people ever Read what the Quraan says about Terrorism (Quran: Surah Al-Maida, Verse 32) "Whoever killed a soul not to retaliate for a soul, nor for creating disorder in the land, then it is as if he had killed all mankind. And whoso gave life to one soul, then it is as if he had given life to all mankind" (Quran 99:7-8) ...and whoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom shall see it. another verse, "...Whoever does good equal to the weight of an atom shall see it..." (Quran: Surah Al-Maida, Verse 87) "... and do not gress; God dislike the aggressors" (Quran: Surah Al-Inaam, Verse151) "You will not kill. God has made life sacred, except in the course of Justice. These are His commandments to you, that you may understand." .â€â€¦ and cast not yourself in destruction with your own hands (Suicide) and be good doers; no doubt good doers are the beloved of Allah†Hadith From the Last sermon of the prophet, " Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that He will indeed reckon your deeds." "By God, he is not a true believer, from whose mischief his neighbors do not feel secure ." Prophet Mohammed (Bukhari, Muslim)

Salaafi was almost to the correct information But still there are some points Scar talked about The Torah and Injeel. While the second verse in suratul Al Cimraan says" "We have revealed down the Torah and Injeel"..We all know It is NEVER the correct Torah and Injeel we have today..They are all corrupted to suit every evil. Great, where is the real teaching of islam practised then? on Mars the red Planet? Since we agreed The Shariah can't be implemented coz many people are trying to suit the way they want, or coz muslims now stay with non-muslims everywhere, then you will have to practice your religion the best way possible.Do u have a problem yourself by Praying your five daily prayers, paying your Zakaat, fasting, Going for Hajj(Pilgrimage), and doing your personal Cibaada. If no, then you have no probelm at all with stuff like shariah.I know you love some stuff like Listening to the Hip-Hop(Luniz and Puff) a bit to suit yourself But Let me just keep them out. Flip the truth is when one surate gives women the right to vote, another hadith discriminates it, while one other hadith treats them like children. Hence the Taliban regime, the Saudi regimes, That's why no civilised muslim country can apply the whole sharia . Quraan and Hadith are not same level.Quraan is WORD OF GOD and hadith are just mere explanations of the same.It is almost WORD OF THE PROPHET or the way of life of the prophet and his companions(Which may have some relations with culture especially after the prophet died). Where do u find one Quraan verse contradicting the hadith? The Quraan gave a whole chapter to explain about "WOMEN" while men were not even given.Sometimes people mean totally different things. If The Quraan talks about Jihad it only meant Jihad for self defence not mass murder and killing.some people take that to justify Terrorism or say ISLAM is about Terror.Islam itself means submission and peace. There is no place where it is written "JUST GO AND KILL EVERYONE"... Read your Quraan properly and digest the meaning sister. As for Hadith, many are explanations of the Holy Quraan. If you miss some explanations in the Hadeeth, Then there is Ijmaa(Yacni like learned Islamic scholars may advise) and then Qiyaas(Estimate). You know Like chaadka(Miraa)green leaves some fellows chew is never allowed in Islam but everyone just pretends. So On and so forth, Some of these laws are harmless other are harsh and discriminating. I know what you mean, Now that those laws(The shariah) are not being implemented entirely, rest assured you can go on and steal and no one will come for your hand. It's ****** to make a law that bans women from driving. It's a shame for the muslim world. But I am sure the guy who comes up with this crazy thing will give you all the references to hadith and Islamis teachings on how the saudi governement opted for the ban. You are confusing the Arabs secular+cultures and ISLAM itself. Some of those fellows are just mere warlords. They have no business calling themselves ISLAM.If they are real muslims, why are they fearing to lead the muslims properly.Coz people will accuse them. They got all the answers  Like saying, The Quraan writes women have no equality, no rights, no nothing, can't drive, can't vote, can't breath, and can't eat..You are a cracker walahi NOTE: To implement The shariah, there are a lot of considerations. Not all arabs are muslims. Please refer my earlier posts
  4. BACK TO THE THREAD I leave the issue of Shariah to take you on a simple journey to know the difference regarding women between ISLAM and CHRISTIANITY. No wonder, Millions of western WOMEN are converting to ISLAM after realizing the truth. 1. The Bible Convicts Women as the original Sinners (ie. Eve picking from the forbidden tree){Genesis 2:4-3:24}. The Koran Clarifies it was Adam Not Eve {Koran 7:19-25} 2. The Bible says "The Birth of a Daughter is a loss" {Ecclesiasticus 22:3}. The Koran says both are an Equal Blessing {Koran 42:49 } 3. The Bible forbids women from speaking in church {I Corinthians 14:34-35}. The Koran says women can argue with the Prophet {58:1} 4. In the Bible, divorced Women are Labeled as an Adulteress, not men {Matthew 5:31-32} The Koran does Not have Biblical double standards{Koran 30:21} 5. In The Bible, widows and sisters do not inherit Any property or wealth, only men do {Numbers 27:1-11} The Koran abolished this male greed {Koran 4:22} and God protects all. 6. The Bible Allows Multiple Wives {I Kings 11:3} In The Koran, God limits the number to 4 only under certain situations (with the wife's permission)and prefers you marry only one wife {Koran 4:3} The Koran gives the woman the right to choose who to marry. 7. "If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives" {Deuteronomy 22:28-30} One must ask a simple question here, who is really punished, the man who raped the woman or the woman who was raped? According to the Bible, you have to spend the rest of your life with the man who raped you. The Prophet Muhammad Says {Volume 9, Book 86, Number 101} Narrated by Aisha:"It is essential to have the consent of a virgin (for the marriage)". Would the Non-Muslim men reading this prefer the Women they know to be Christian or Muslim? 8. The Bible also asks women to wear veils as in Islam {I Corinthians 11:3-10} 9. Women were given rights to Vote less than a 100 years ago in the (US), while the Koran gave women voting rights almost 1,500 years ago. The truth, do u want the truth anyways There are NO RIGHTS for a muslim woman
  5. ^We don't have pure Islamic shariah based countries, so Who does that anyway.. strippers are more civilized i thought

It is definitely true that the standard of living has changed over the years. That, though, does not seem to be the root cause of the difference. It is inconceivable to think that the companions would live the way we are living today because "times have changed but because the people and their priorities and goals have changed. So many Muslims have changed to such an extent that they have difficulty even conceiving of living with the same goals and priorities as those of the companions." maybe that sheds the light' why the shariah is not followed completely..... This is what they call The 21st Century where our life is totally different from that of the Companions(Sahabas), 1.People don't pray or pray at will, they say we are busy like in a meeting.Prayers is just 25 minutes the whole 24hours. 2.Zakaat is Never paid, we even take interest from banks let alone zakaat. 3.We love music, that sing about illicit behaviours, The Hip Hop dances thinking that is modernity. 4.We club and drink and even gamble, take our children to play close to us in malls, showing them how to "waste" themselves instead of "Moulding them" to be good muslims. 5.Muslim Women are "advised" to seek their rights to wear semi nude to show off their privacy, women are liberated and sold together with various items like spoons as if they are not Human while Still calling that "freedom and liberation", human rights 6.Sex is free they say, There is no meaning of marriage.Homosexuality and gay is like a religion, Swingers and Wife swapping have been given a 21 st century invention.Women make abortion, strippers on loose, virgins are wasted and thrown out of the house by a nightstand.Let me stop before I vomit.. 7. Some people go for Hajj like tourism 8. Others who NEVER studied ISLAM or know about ISLAM become stars by "Abusing and talking BAD of ISLAM" and they say that is Freedom of expression.. 9. People kill and make terrorism ISLAM, There is no where Sahaabas made any terrorism.Everything they were doing was self defense. Never did the prophet companions did all that.Never shall we do that.Even if life changes..you can't claim, you will join the life of Sinners Even if it is the 21st Century. Islam has provisions to subdue all that. Islam in the 21st Century and Islam, Humanity and the 21St century Know your religion and then try to fit it to the 21st Century by reading those links..

To say that islam is divine law would mean all aspects of islam is dictated by the Kitab thus equal to Divine law, but this is not the case. I agree to disagree, I think our brother mentioned that Islam itself is divine and pure as Allah Himself said in his QURAAN This day, I have perfected your religion for you , completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. [5:3] But our own ways of life in the 21st Century has been tampered with until you may feel that ISLAM ain't that divine anyways.NO, it is because Muslims nowadays don't stick to their Five pillars of ISLAM.No value for time of prayers, Zakaat is not adjusted accordibgly, No wonder we have lots of economical problems (coz Allah himself is not HAPPY with the way we are not following HIS words.) Many People have started doubting and questioning ISLAM even without making elaborate research. The companions of the prophet(The Sahaaba)RA used to ask the prophet anything they feel like until they get a satisfactory answer which we are not doing anymore. If you think you have a slight problem, you go barking like the way AYAAN HIRSI did before she was shown the TRUTH OF ISLAM and started getting silent again on her favourite "There are no rights for women in ISLAM" Only when Muslims go back to the drawing board,I mean go back to the real meaning of the HOLY BOOK, The Quraan, that is the time ISLAM will be divine. Some of us are EVEN wondering If they are muslims or not So now, are there some nomads who are saying that GOD didn't reveal the Truth? "Say! Do you know better than Allah?" (2:140). NOTE TO ALL NOMADS, There is a verse in the HOLY QURAAN which says, Suratul Talaaq verse 4 "...and whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make his matter easy for him". and Suratul Talaaq verse 7 "...Allah puts no burden on any person beyond what He has given him. Allah will grant after hardship, ease.

Are any factors considered before such punishment is dealt? i.e. witnesses, persistent criminals, the criminal’s circumstances etc. Would a mother, under difficult circumstances, who steals to feeed her hungry baby, receive the same punishment? Answer: In the Name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful, The different penalties prescribed by Shariah is not in order to inflict harm on people and make them suffer, rather the Shariah concept for imposing penalties for the various crimes is that they prevent harm, destruction and anarchy in the society. They are not prescribed in order to harm people, but the contrary. Allah Most High says: "In the law of retaliation there is (saving of) life to you, O you men of understanding" (Surah al-Baqarah, 179). Due to the idea behind these various penalties being imposed not to make an individual suffer, rather to create a better society as a whole, the Shariah laid down certain strict rules and conditions in order for the punishment to be established or enforced. These strict conditions can be seen in all the various penalties that have been imposed. The case with theft and stealing is the same in that certain conditions have been laid down for the penalty to be imposed. If the conditions are met, only then will such a penalty be enforced. 10. Volume 8, Book 81, Number 778: Narrated 'Aisha: Usama approached the Prophet on behalf of a woman (who had committed theft). The Prophet said, "The people before you were destroyed because they used to inflict the legal punishments on the poor and forgive the rich. By Him in Whose Hand my soul is! If Fatima (the daughter of the Prophet ) did that (i.e. stole), I would cut off her hand."

  13. Originally posted by naden: quote:Originally posted by Castro: I'm sure you didn't mean to describe Allah's decree as barbaric, did you? I sure did. [/i] serious. I have a serious advice I wish to share with all my muslim brothers and sisters..Jokes and Kaftan aside. Before you describe Shariah as faulty, ask yourself what shariah means in the first place.. Allah NEVER revealed the Quraan and Islam through prophet Mohamed to cause us anguish and frustrations.Never did our prophet also blame Shariah at any one time.No muslim ever raised an alarm about the shariah.Everything was alright until the ISLAMIC empire started disintegrating and many muslims started migrating to far off land. Some migrating and settling with non-muslim communities.People started to pursue The shariah for their causes, harrasing women, murdering with impunity and causing havoc in the land.that is where we are now. Never blame the shariah for the 21st Century freedom and never say Shariah was bad as you did over here if the above quote is anything to go by. Shariah can be suited for the 21st century for the purpose encompassing the Islamic countries. But first you must have a truly Islamic country for that to operate. It is still compatible with various issues like marriages, children custody, arbitration between muslims, debts, inheritance, wealth, fairness in resources distribution and much more. The people who are supposed to show the world that ISLAM is a nice, a good religion are you and me.If you need to learn more about your religion, feel free.there are a lot of information from various websites & (Beware there are some websites which are against ISLAM) Which pretend to be Islamic websites. Someone like our own AYAAN HIRSI started questioning her own religion without having done thorough research and education until she came with her version of "There are No rights for Women in Islam". This was later explained in details after she committed blasphemy and having tainted ISLAM as a bad religion. It is now a "Topic" she doesn't talk about. She instead talks about the problems in Islamic societies while she says she is a "half muslim" having denounced that There is no Allah and so on.What kind of a "muslim" is that. The west and the media doesn't know the differences so anything an average jew says, Is also Islam. She has been put on death penalty now albeit by various muslims who have decided to take her life. I don't think that is a good way of solving the problem she has with "Islam".We have already "Silenced" her by the Internet and "pen". I would urge all our muslim peer groups to be ambassadors of Islam and make sure they know their own religion before commenting on any aspects. It would be improper for someone to ask you something about your "own" religion and you don't know.He may laugh down in his heart.

  18. Iran: Helmut Kohl agrees with Ahmadinejad on Holocaust Mon. 06 Mar 2006 Iran Focus Tehran, Iran, Mar. 06 – Former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl reportedly told Iranian businessmen in Germany that he agreed with statements by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that the Holocaust was a “mythâ€, the semi-official Jomhouri Islami reported on Monday. The government-owned daily wrote that at a dinner gala with Iranian hoteliers and entrepreneurs, Kohl said that he “heartily agreed†with Ahmadinejad’s remarks about the Holocaust. “What Ahmadinejad said about the Holocaust was in our bosomsâ€, the former German chancellor was quoted as saying. “For years we wanted to say this, but we did not have the courage to speak outâ€. Ahmadinejad caused an international furore last year when he publicly declared that the Holocaust was a “myth†and threatened that Israel must be “wiped off the mapâ€. His comments were supported by senior Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and former president Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani. The country’s state-run media have systematically defended the position of the Iranian president and given extensive coverage to historians and “experts†who deny the Holocaust took place. 19. HOW I BECAME A MUSLIM Conversion stories from various countries Diana (CO, USA) I was raised in a moderately Christian home in Colorado, USA. Religion was never much of an issue in my house. My father was raised as a Mormon, my mother as a Protestant. As I grew into adolescence, I became curious about God, wondering whether He existed, and if so, what did that mean to humans. I studied the Bible and other Christian literature earnestly. Even when I was in high school, I noticed that there were apparent discrepancies in the Bible, particularly concerning the nature of Jesus (pbuh). In some places, it seemed to say he was God, in others, the son of God, and in others, only human. However, I thought that these discrepancies existed only because I did not truly understand what I was reading. I first turned to the Church of God after receiving literature from them in the mail. I was impressed because they approached religion in a more logical and scientific manner than I had seen before. They followed such practices as not eating pork, keeping the same holidays as Jesus, etc. I attended their services once, but for some reason, I did not keep going. When I went to college, I became involved in Bible studies through Campus Crusade for Christ. I wanted to really understand God's truth, but I just couldn't see what it was, and I thought the Bible studies would help me. They did. Around the same time, I met a Muslim man. I became curious as to why he prayed the way he did, so I started to read the Qur'an. I soon realized that there was an aspect to Islam which I had really missed in Chrisianity: worship. All the prayers I had ever heard consisted mostly of "I want this, I need this, please give it to me," with the only real worship being "thank you Jesus for dying for my sins." I wondered, what about God? I was convinced that the God of Islam was the same as the God I believed in, but I was still unsure about who Jesus was. I was afraid to believe that he was not the son of God, because all my life I had been taught that such a belief meant eternal punishment in hellfire. The leader of my Bible study had done missionary work to Muslims in Algeria, so I decided to ask him some questions, because at the time I was quite confused. I asked him what would happen to my Muslim friend, and he told me he would go to hell, without a doubt. I asked him how the Qur'an, which was so similar to the Bible, could be false. He said it was an instrument of the devil to persuade people to unbelief. Finally, I asked him if he had read the Qur'an, intending to next ask him a specific question about something I had read in it. He answered, "No. I tried, but it makes me sick to my stomach." I was astounded and quickly left. This man, whom I respected as a knowledgeable leader, who had worked with Muslims several times, did not know as much about Islam as I had learned in a few months. And yet, he was not questioning or curious. He was sure that my friend was going to hell and that the Qur'an was the work of the devil. I suddenly realized that there was no way he could be sure unless he had studied, and he clearly had not. This was my biggest clue that Islam was the path of God's truth. Alhamdoolellah (praise be to Allah) that I had that conversation. I began to study Qur'an more, and in several months I said Shahada [i.e. stated and accepted the creed of Islam -ed.]. That was less than a year ago. I am still learning, striving to find God's truth. I am so grateful that God has guided me so. Here is a religion of truth, which can stand up to any test of logic and reason! Just as I always thought religion should be. It should make sense, it should be logical. This is how I came to Islam. However, I think it should be said that I am grateful I did not meet many Muslims before I became Muslim. At the university I attend, the majority of Muslims are cold and distant. They seem to be judgmental of anyone who is, or appears to be, non-Muslim. If I had known these people, I would have been turned off from Islam because its representatives seem so cold. Muslims have an incredible message to share -- the message of truth! I had no idea what Islam was before I met my friend, if Americans just understood what it was, they would be more open to it, because it is TRUTH. Also, I think it should be said that this was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Converting to Islam has forced me to be disobedient to my parents, because they do not agree with such things as fasting, wearing the veil, or avoiding forbidden foods. They think it is nonsense, and I have had to struggle all the way to do what I believe and at the same time try not to lose my family. I have not begun wearing the veil yet, but I very much want to shortly. I fear that in doing so, I may be disowned (at least temporarily), but I am still eager to do it, because I long to be modest before God in the manner ordained for women. I would be happy to receive e-mail from anyone curious about Islam, particularly women (I might be more helpful then a male). Diana.

What makes you think that You will achieve it then? Maybe it is time to consider that there is something wrong within the SHaria since all societies are failing to put it onto operation. Although you double posted coz of anger for this Shariah that came and was applied even during the Prophet's time, Dear don't overstep your limits within ISLAM. It is a known fact that Shariah was not only used by the companions of the prophet but almost during the Islamic empire. To say that Shariah itself is Faulty here in a forum with many muslims, it is in other words saying, you guys religion is also faulty coz you can't believe in somethings and leave out some others in ISLAM.it is either you believe in ISLAM or not. Then on top of that, nobody even forces you to be in ISLAM if you think to be a somali, you have to be a muslim, Allah himself says, 2:256 "There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower. Muslims after the Holy Prophet, due to bad rulers, mischief and corruption decided to deviate from ways of the prophet after the four khalifs(Sayidina Abubakar, Umar, Uthman iyo Ali), muslims then disintegrated and each culture moved to it's backyard and practised Islam in its country.Islam expansion went to as far as China and Indonesia and malaysia and there was no control.People started living inside non-muslims and Shariah couldn't be applied correctly. That was why.. It is not the defect as you try to imply, If you are implying to say ISLAM is defect, well and good. All people in the world are Mad, Only the degree differs.. That is almost saying What our prophet Mohamed said was defect..that also means ISLAM itself is defect..and that is where we part ..I have no right to talk to you from that point. Do your worst lady
