“defeated lot” This lot has a foreign minister that met the most powerful leader in the world in Obama, the president of Somalia has meet countless world leader and spoke at the UN. Real meetings with Mr. Miliband and not the photo shop garbage. The defeated lot continuously gets international standing government after government, leader after leader. While your clan enclave has not been given nothing tangible, and can't even hold elections. Just show me one picture of Riyaale arriving somewhere and meeting with presidents that don't include meles or ghelle. We know who the defeated lot is, who's accomplished nothing in 18 years.

Originally posted by Cowke: Duke, well you can tell farole to stop reviewing cade project and the port would've of been done also. Remember lootah signing $50 million deal for bossaso. That included extending the port by 400% and constructing a port-facility headquarter of modern standards and a free trade zone. It's good to see farole allowed the airport to go thru, now he has to let the port and oil go thru also and not just be a xasid to cade and try to take away what he got for the state, it's so childish. You can read it here regarding lootah and it's port deal with cade which mr.farole put on review!!! http://www.ameinfo.c om/176786.html Ps: I remember farole speech when he won the election and said "mamuul aniga iga horeyee maba jirin", for your information mr.farole alot of the kings gathered at our local cafe here in new zealand discussing your little comment. But we will let it slide for the good of the state, however if their was no government before you mr.farole then the ribbon your cutting at bossaso airport, garowe airport, bossaso port is also under the previous admins deal, the oil, the mamuul wanaag that you see today was put to paper in the democratisation phase by cade, not to mention nearly every institution in the state by cade. Lol mr.farole you can be very silly saying "there was no government before you" lol but we let it slide cause we know your reer miyi. Although I don't agree with you much. I think you have a very valid point. This is proof how difficult infastructure building is in such a poor state and anyone who is able to start it must be commended. But of course those that dwell on every negative aspect and look at the glass as half full won't give credit where credit is due. There definitely seems to be issues that President Farole has with the previous admin(s). I don't know why he doesn't make a decision on the oil contract or the port renovations, he's almost been in for a year. If we don't get on the admins case things won't get done. Either consider all the previous agreements void or allow them to continue.

Waar they're just jealous coz VOA implemented FM in Somaliland and they don't get one He wants them to stop broadcasting, he is pissed that they interview a guy claiming to be a representive for an outlawed organization. What does this have to do with FM, he doesn't want them, the media is obviously his enemy and weapon. Everything revolvs around NW Somalia's admin in Hargeysa? Whats their to be jealous of a place that can't even hold elections.
-
President Faroole is showing his achilles heel, (which is negative press from the media), even if it is fair or not. He doesn't realize now that they will flood the media with negative news, using: the internet, radio and whatever else they can think of. He can give VOA a warning or use his son's website to counter them. Regardless, his actions show that their must be some truth to it.
-
This is a clear attack on the leadership that was LEGALLY ELECTED by the parliament of the state. Imagine if a news media was in america interviewing two presidents of america? just imagine abc kept the propaganda going and interviewing the an al-qaeda guy calling himself the president of the state? This will lead to societal damage and people might start listening to his judgements and not farole. Excellent move president farole. That makes no sense! All they are doing is reporting the news. That's what their job is, if some wacko is doing this, then we should know and they should be reporting it. If it is legitimate news, like this is, VOA shouldn't be punished. Two President of the US, if a news agency reported it the US gov't won't shut it down. There is far worse stuff said about Obama and other leaders. Can't go after them for reporting the news.

Cowke, please don't start doing what JB does and start hiding the source.
-
Who else would it belong to? That is why it is called, places that don't exist. It's imaginary! Like me go to SOmalia and buying a plot of land and saying it is a new country.

What about Riyaale?

Originally posted by Cowke: Duke, is just a kid and don't see the bigger picture of a stable nation, he is of the mind-frame 1 tribe will always rule somalia and that is just not going to be the case. If it was then the government will collapse and we will return back to the way we were with no national government. Mature people know that their needs power-sharing and their needs to be presidency switch to each tribe. Sure people can hate sharif but he won't be last of the hamar elite to rule somalia and it's best we just accept if we want a nation we got to share, if you want a tribe then we will live another 20 years the same way we have previously. So Don't take duke serious, he just wants to get pay-back for hamar elite dissing his uncle, he can't see past the big picture of having a future stable nation. Are you the one that always talking about the true kings and how jama ali jama, king kong, abdirashid ali shamarke etc are the true kings adn leaders? If it was then the government will collapse and we will return back to the way we were with no national government. National government? are you like in la la land? You are so out to space, WE HAVE NO NATIONAL GOVERNMENT. They control NOTHING. We have a recognized government, but they are not national!! the don't even control all of mogadishu! None of NW Somalia, the president has never gone to Puntland. Unreal!
-
Wonder why others aren't reporting it? Seems horseednet is the only reliable site.
-
Do you notice Somalia's Governments after Governments continue you be recognized internationally. No matter how many come and go, they are always treated as a sovereign nation, when will you get it JB, a tribe can not become a country. That is why the genernation before you quickly joined after colonialists departed and not a single country recognizes you. Just wait until Lascaanod hears that Jangeli was meeting Obama. That's a real meeting with David Miliband not the photo shop NW Somalia pics you produced!

You have some serious issues! I don't know what they are but it's disturbing. You think the articled you posted, that might I add as deleted because it was nonesense, is something factual? I think what is going on is that you are related to Jama Ali Jama and you feel the shame he brought you. Because for you to say that he fought for 3 days is insane. Abdullahi Yusuf was greated at the presidential palace in Bosasso. There was not a bullet fired in Bosasso. Sure the roads leading up there were. Of course back then I didnt agree with Jama Ali Jama being over thrown and felt the parliament should have been respected, but Jama Ali Jama left for Djibouti immediately and never fought, his soldiers felt betrayed by him and humiliated that's why Cade Muse came. I can honestly say that Jama Ali Jama is the most hated man in Bari, he knows it and will never come back. Listen you have never been to Puntland, but you speak as if you've been there for decades. How many times do you get banned form here and keep coming back?
-
You are doing Puntland a dis-service when you speak about your reer all the time. Only showing love for the people that are related to you. We need to be united and not split, because the way you speak is saying us and them. The only people angry and Jama Ali Jama is his family. They feel betrayed by someone they thought was a Col who would stay and defend, I've never heard a single person say something good about him, you're the first. To others, it's ancient history. In Somalia, I met people that at one point where fighting against each other or had a confrontation with someone that ended up with one of them being injured and the next day they are friends. They forgive very easy back hope and forget even quicker. 2002 was a learning point and proved Puntland can negotiate peace, you need stop preaching your rubbish that is doing no good.
-
i usually never commented on it but it needs to be settled once for all on who was right and who was wrong. You started posting 5 days ago, or were you here before?
-
Unbelievable, where would I start. Just don't go to Puntland and say that you think ethiopians were used in 2002 and DEFINITELY, dont go and say a single thing about Jama Ali Jama. You think Boqor King Kong is a nice man after 10 months in power (I have never met him, so wouldn't know), but because he is your reer you know he is right? What more can I say. I have stayed a long time in the places you named and never met anyone talk the nonesense you do. It's always your side is the best and has done this and that. You are dilusional and the fact you have never been to Puntland or ever met a single person that you are speaking so highly of show's you have no idea about anything, it's worrisome. You need help.

Originally posted by Cowke: Thankfulisp, Abdullahi had his good sides and bad sides. Abdullahi use of ethiopian soldiers in 2002 was totally uncalled for and no ppl in bari, karkaar do not support that. So i don't know which part of puntland u went to. Secondly, your argument is that u must meet everyone. Well boqor muse has many news articles about him, essays in the pdrc, and other materials that i read. Does that mean I don't know? Lastly but not the least, Don't overplay Abdullahi he was one hit wonder and that's it. He became leader because it was war time and he was the most effective general. In peace-time he stands no chance as u can see he has just left. Peace-time 1 region will dominate and it's bari and karkaar who have produced not just 1 hit wonders but constant leadership from boqor osman down to keenadiid to sharmarke.co jamac ali jamac, cade muse, and inshallah me down the track some time. sxb the kings have a pool of talent just waiting to hit the scence hard, i am 24 years old and already know each of the weak and strong points of each clan and where to get them. I exposed your little group who just inhabit gara'ad and jariban two tuulos, galkacyo is shared. whilst me bossaso is shared but i am the majority in the largest city of puntland, qardho another major city, beyla, isku shuban two tuulos and jubba. Sxb don't make me tear u apart i don't really like to go back on the family but i won't tolerate to hear crap about cade muse anymore when it wasnt his fault that yey walked off with puntland resources to hamar, anyone leading puntland at that time would've of seen what it was like to maintain such a loss of resources. Plus all the institutions u see today are done by cade, all these governances u see were all put to paper by cade, farole is just implementing cade ideas. the oil and all foreign investments like jabiri, lootah firm, the oil firms all cade...cade gave us a future, abdullahi didnt give us a hospital..get real Cowke, you have never gone there or met any of the people you speak of. So I understand your ignorance. You want to lead Puntland but you have never been there, good luck. Refer me to one book on Boqor King Kong okay. He hasn't even been king for a year, yet you know he is a good person right! Are you serious ethiopian soldiers in 2002? I've never met a single person in Puntland that has ever said ethiopian soldiers were used. Not even Cade or anyone else from his group. And please don't post your fake articles I have no idea what you are saying in the rest of the post, you seem to be insulting Cade Muse for sending resources to Mogadishu and later praising him, you are incoherent.
-
The people you mentioned which I can't believe you'd even name in the same sentence as the Prophet Muhammad PEACE BE UPON HIM. Have countless books and historically documents written about them. Martin Luther King, Mandela have countless speeches and decades of history. You are talking about a man that became boqor not even a year ago. Keep spreading your rubbish, and until you actually go to Somalia or atleast meet the people you speak of then talk. All I heard was how bad Abdullahi Yusuf is, and all these bad things he's done. Until I actually went to Puntland and met him many times and heard what people said about him and the love! Honestly, a slice of advice...take a break!

Have you even met him?

Cowke give it a rest!

Somaliland elders extend President Kahin's rule
Thankful replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
The dominant family there knows. If they take Riyaale out of power, he'll take his whole family and join Sharif's government. Those Somali flags in Boorama were calculated. So they have no choice but to tolerate Mr. Riyaale. -
Now the gap of our differences is much closer than was seen from your first post. [/QB] My position has not changed and remains the same. The article that you posted that started this thread is flawed and neglected to mention many key points. First Reer Maakhir has always been treated fair - if not and puntland is a clan enclave then Ilko-Jiir would never have came so close. Second if the author is going to mention everything negative about Cadde Admin, then he should mention the good to. But reer Maakhir and Cade Muse had a history long before he was president. I never once heard about the farmers being upset at the livestock quarantine. Garoweonline was definitely putting their spin on that. How can you compare Oman to Saudi arabia there is like more then 26 million people living in Saudi Arabia. I said it before and I'll say it again, after the ban livestock had to go through Djibouti who would then vaccinate them and take a significant cut and now it goes straight from Puntland. Which has created over 50+ high paying jobs for our men and women. Listen unlike this bias article, we should mention both the positive and negative aspects. thats it, that's all.

The people of Somaliland have demonstrated over the course of nearly two decades a dogged commitment to peacefully resolving their internal conflicts, rebuilding their society, and forging a democratic constitutional order. Mr. Pham made no mention that there is a form Siad Barre agent, who is the president and keeps pushing back the elections. There is no democracy and there has never been a peaceful transfer of power! The vice president became the president and now refuses to leave.

Nassir, The article that started this thread seems to be complaining about something that I feel is not present. Like I’ve said several times now, if Puntland is clan enclave and was not being fair to Reer Maakhir would Gen Ilko-Jiir have made the run that he did? You've stated that oil exploration is not a good thing at the present time. I agree that for Reer Maakhir it isn't, but in other area's such as Bari there was no issue with it and people there were excited and supported the deal. How can you possible say something negative about the livestock quarantine? In 2001, an out break of Rift Valley Fever occurred in Saudi Arabia, and was subsequently blamed on African livestock, in return Many Arab nation banned all imports, crippling our economy and hurting thousands of farmers. Like this report from relief web shows The effect of the ban is likely to be "devastating" for countries, such as Somalia, which are heavily dependent on livestock exports to the Gulf states, a regional economic expert told IRIN. Cade Muse administration was the first in Somalia to address the ban, and purposed an alternative to Arab nations where a facility would be built in Puntland that would test animals and ensure that they met there standards, which would then allow our livestock to be accepted. Saudi Arabia and other gulf states agreed and it happened, the same Arab group is now doing the same thing in NW Somalia. You say that small traders are going out of business because incomes of the pastoralists as the price of each live stock will be much lower? Do you realize before the livestock quarantine that is exactly what was happening, before the only alternative for our farmers was to send their livestock to Djibouti for vaccinations, which would result in their income being significantly lowered? The live stock quarantine that Cade had built remedied and satisfied the complaints from Puntland farmers. They are now making more money then they were before when they had to go through Djibouti. Arab nations won’t accept our livestock directly from us without the quarantine, things are better now! If we are going to have an honest debate about the previous admin then we should talk about everything good and bad! Che, I was never fond of him to begin with. This tells me everything and proves exactly what I was saying the issues people like you had with Cade were there before he was president and you never gave him a chance. You were against Abdullahi Yusuf and have a deep seated hatred for him, and anyone that supports him. And since Cade was one of Abdullahi Yusuf most staunches allies you began hating him as well. I am in no way stuck in the past and never mention Cade Muse, but when articles are posted mentioning him by his enemies in a bad light, I will mention the positive aspects of his tenure that they seem to always conveniently leave out. Garoweonline is still posting articles mentioning Cade’s Admin and how bad it was trying to remind people that the problems their father is facing is not new, these articles are being written by people like Weinstien and others. So if you think I am just going to remain silent when these articles are posted, it won’t happen. This is a pic of Bosaso’s new Sea Port, the administrative building was built by Cade Muse admin, before that there was nothing and the end result has organized this extremely vital part of Puntland’s economy.
-
Nassir, Let me address some of your concerns. First, I was supporting Cade Muse because I feel he was trying to make the Puntland economy more self sufficient. Puntland cannot rely solely on the donations from western nations and the Diaspora. They need to start figuring out ways of boosting their economy by finding jobs and revenue from its own resources. You are speaking about your concerns of the environment which I believe is quite baseless. I believe the environmental dangers from exploring for oil and minerals is significantly smaller then the benefits that the natural resources will bring. Do think the Arab countries that have been blessed with oil are concerned with the environment, especially when they started the initial process decades ago? Look at all the nations that have proven oil reserves and how it has benefitted them. The sprawling metropolitan cities that they have constructed and the improve standard of living that has occurred. Some of these nations were faced with treaty’s such as the Kyoto accord; which is an internationally treaty that seeks to reduce the greenhouse gas concentration in the atmosphere. It is something that has been signed by many countries concerned with the environment, except those like Canada, U.S, China and others; they knew they would be unable to meet the emissions standards, because like in Canada case the process they produce oil produced too much greenhouse emissions. The Prime Minister of Canada felt that the importance of the oil to the economy was so high that he refused to sign a treaty even though it would harm the environment. My point is that you cannot say you’re concerned with the environment when you are living in one of the poorest countries in the world that is suffering from countless problems. The money that oil and other natural resources would bring would improve the lives of our people. Think about this for a second, the situation is so bad people are risking their lives on a boat to try and get to a refugee camp in Yemen. I read the article that you speak of “Puntland's oil and mining deal: An affair between greed and incompetence.” As I expected it was written by people in the U.S. The article is written basis of hearsay evidence and opinions and provides very little facts. It doesn’t take into account a lot of factors and the situation in Somalia. It does not mention the staggering infant mortality rate that Somalis are facing back home, the lack of clean water and a very low health care system that requires people who suffering the only alternative but to travel to other under develop nations to get even the basic medical attention. Many are also dying because of some easily treatable alignments. The article doesn’t speak about very little help that Puntland should be receiving in their allocation for international help. Instead the writers are again obsessed with the precieved thoughts that the former Puntland president and his minister were making a fortune. Which is what everyone who opposed the deal has always been concerned about, it is their fear that someone will be making lots of money and they won’t. I don’t know if they thought he’d be living like the Saudi royal family or if they simple just didn’t want to see anyone make money. Faroole and his supporters were the biggest opposition to the oil deal, I don’t think anyone else fought against it and questioned the legality to it. They had a website which main purpose was to attack the deal and claimed that Puntland cannot sign any such deals, even after Puntland had the federal parliament speaker and Federal president signed the deal Faroole and his website still said Somalia is in no position to make such concessions with their resources. But now that he has been in power for almost 9 months, he is still meeting with the same company that he once claimed was conducting illegal business and even said days after he was elected that “he accepted the contract in principle.” The fact remains the same oil companies are still their and Faroole has not rejected their contract and sent them on their way. Most of the people were against it claimed that they concerned with the environment, the fear it would destabilized the region, corruption, the fact the company is still their proves that the one and only issue they had was that they wanted to be the ones that would make the money. I support the former President Cade Muse because he was the first leader that did not beg for international aide. He tried to provide the people with their own means of developing their state through the fruits of their labor. One of his first focuses was trying to build the costly airport, the livestock quarantine, organizing the port and building a huge administration building there. The article which refers to Puntland as a clan enclave bashes the former admin, but never mentions that so much of Puntlands resources were sent to Mogadishu to prop up the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia and that a war was fought at it’s borders. It doesn’t mention that there was global economic crisis facing the most develop nations. There is no mention that other regions in Puntland gladly accepted the oil and mineral workers and pictures I showed you proved it. There is no mention the enormous changes that Bosasso and Garowe made from 2005 to 2009. The article is completely negative and does not make a single mention of anything positive that was developed; which should tell you something of how neutral the writer is.
