  1. So once again I ask you....where do you think the coward is hiding?
  2. Originally posted by NASSIR: Thankful, one man with a small militia has handled an army made up of every H clan with Ethiopia providing the logistics and direct regional flight and treatment for the injured. Yet he had never resorted to barbaric acts, that is targeting civilians or chocking off the trade route of Bosaaso. Contrast that with Ade Muse and Jama's revolt when they used civilians as sheilds, and it took only two days for them to get crushed and exiled into Eel-Afwayn town. The litany of targets against the people of western Bari region won't go away unless addressed and resolved. But like you just said we know that Ade and Jama went to Ceel Afweyne, now my question to you is where do you think Atam is? He sent his young fighters to die, 2 were executed for killings civilians, yet he has remained silent even after that. Where is he? He was defeated every time in 1 battle, the only reason it took more then one is because of the terrain which was done in the mountains which is difficult for even the most advanced military's. I can show you pics of Ade and Jama, interviews with video cameras were done when they retreated to Ceel Afweyne. But Atam is so scared that he has refused to ever be photographed. If he is what you say he is, than he is the first rebel leader in Somalia’s history that is such a chicken he wants to hide his image from all. I can’t think of anyone that has done this before. So once again I ask you....where do you think the coward is hiding?
  3. Wow, if Xabsaade switches sides you will see the samething that happen to Riyaale the last time he visited happen again.
  4. I think NW Somalia's new regional government has realized that the whole recognition issue is useless. When the U.S came out with their 2 side approach for Somalia, which included NW Somalia. There regional government didn't protest....which they would have 10 years ago. Djibouti has refused to recognize your enclave, but they make you feel special by rolling out the red carpet. It still doesnt change the fact that they could recognize you if they wanted to -but choose not to.
  5. Originally posted by NASSIR: who resides in and thus wields title deed on the strategic highway of El-Dahir, Carmo, Karin, Bali-Khadar, Laag, and the land on which the Bosaso airport is located? Ahhh, the Puntland government? The area's you mentioned are inhabited by numerous groups. That is why it is unwise to claim that only one does. The Airport is the property of the government. The fact you need to remind people all the time Nassir, shows that you probably know that what you are saying is made up. No one but the government can claim any part of the road. Nevertheless, I agree that Puntland needs Structural reform. Every segment of society must be given a voice. If the people of Eastern Sanaag and Western Bari or anywhere else feel marginalized then their concerns must be addressed. I hope that Faroole implements political parties. With that being said, I think without an effective Federal Government there is only so much the Puntland government can accomplish. But again, no single group can claim to have special privilege just because they allege to be indigenous to the area.
  6. 'Governance', The new book by Ismail Ali Ismail, for instance, has valuable resources on the specific functions for the departments of the Ministry of Interior and Local Government. I like how he advertised the book at the end!

  9. Norf, Maybe for you and the people you associate with. But Barakat was HUGE. Dahabshiil is the most expensive money transfering business. I never use it and now many others that don't either. So I am not sure what you are talking about! Dahabshiil has been in business for so many decades so it has had a head start. But the competition is gaining on it! Don't think because it is the most popular money transfering company in your community that it is for the rest.

  11. Lol, you are stronged willed i'll give you that!! The inroads you speak of is exactly that, just talk. I have yet to see any evidence of any of this. JB posted a welcoming of a Garaad and in the crowd was Somalia's flag, no secessionists. A person from Sanaag ran for vice-pres in Mogadishu, so did Ilka-Jir who ran for pres of Puntland and currently Puntland's vice pres is from Sool. In your last "democratic" elections, did any one from those area's run? Anyways, we will see!

  13. Taleexi, I have said it many many times that people back home don't even know what Maakhir is! It was something created by the Diaspora, just like you see many new enclaves being established today in places like Sweden. So no, I never said people back home flip-flopped, they have always said they are from Puntland, Somalia. Ilka-Jiir is one of the most respected politicians coming out of that community and he supports Puntland. Also, I have said that if the people back home were against Puntland, Atom would never have been that defeated. Where is the man now??? So again, I am referring to some in the Diaspora! Ngonge, Look, right now Nassir and co.'s relationship with anything Puntland is at an all-time low. Yet, he is still against secessionists like your enclave. We had a friendly bet on another thread about this and it seems that I won! He has never once said he would join you! He did say "we shall wait and see!" Which I agree that if your government changes it's one group domination of the government, things may change. Until then, it wont. I am not saying appease communities by making them president, but just alteast let them run!

The historic defeat and humiliation of your warlord-cum defense minister attests to the position of the people of Sanaag region of N. Somalia vs the small Triangle Ngonge, I guess I won this bet. Nassir and company will never pick the secessionists, history as proven this. They have flip-flopped from supporting Puntland to claiming that they dont for various reasons. But never once have they said they would join your enclave. Why? Well again, unless your government stops one group from having a huge chunk of power and more importantly stop excluding others from Sool and Sanaag from running for the top job....they will never want to join you...nor can your officials visit.

  17. Beesha ********** oo katirsan Beesha ********* ayaa dhawaan shirar ku yeelatay qaar kamida dalalka dibada yadoo Lol, how do you compete with that? Ok, I will hold a meeting and name a new area Awdal ok! Come on, what happens abroad and what the reality in Somalia is, are most times two different things! Good old Laasqoraynet! This meeting was done in Sweden! Horseednet
  18. Ok! The U.S and others have made it clear it is a issue for the AU, and we know they have not budged. What you need to focus on is getting just a single country to lobby for you!
  19. Originally posted by Suldaanka: ^No, they haven't recognised. But they have extended a cordial red carpet treatment however. And besides, like Djibouti Information Minister said, his country regards Somaliland as a seperate state-in-waiting. If you truly believe that, then I don't know what to say. Because if you think Djibouti wants to see a separate state next to it that will compete with them, you are not being rational. They are making a fortune (just like all of Somalia's neighbors) from the weak government beside them. The amount of foreign aid both military and humanitarian has increased because of Somalia's lawlessness. If your enclave was recognized it would go to you, which Djibouti would never want...how many foreign forces with deep pockets are there monitoring Somalia? Countless! I am not denying the foreign minister said that, but their actions and commonsense indicates the truth about their feelings. If they regarded you as a state in waiting, they would have recognized you a long time ago. Don't you think they would have lobbied for you if they felt this way?
  20. How about you focus on your government that is made up of one group! Your corrupt elections! If people were treated the same, your government would represent everyone.
  21. He made his money off the people who had fled the land and sent money back home and it's the people that can bring him down! He knows it, that is why he is suing and threatening.
