  1. I guess, just like how many of the clan court fighters shaved off their beards and returned to being criminals after their defeat; some in the cyber world feel the trend is no longer "in". You'd think that a sincere person would be in the struggle for a lifetime, but it's amusing to see less then 1 month after their defeat, people jumping ship. Wow, truly, imposters.
  2. Interesting pics, it show's what a true union is. United we stand and divide we fall. Everyone has put whatever petty difference they may have had aside. Everyone is united in defense of their land from those imposters in Xamar.
  3. Wow, I knew before I even got on this site, the person that would most likely have posted the farooleonline article. This is what happened, the President went to the Police station and the bright guards went to see him talk, this resulted in prisoners with help from people on the outside escaping. Shots were fired and everything is fine.
  4. Well this all comes down to interest; each side has their own cause. The Arab countries and Eritrea are exploiting the clan courts. Countries such as Egypt have an issue with Ethiopia and who better to use to fight then those imposters in Xamar. Let me end with this, there is not occupation going on, Ethiopia didn't force their way into Somalia. They were called in, I mean it was literally done over the phone where they were called to come in and stop these blood thirsty warmongering clan courts for waging war. Puntland is not protesting them or Baidoa; they are living in peace. People remember very well who these guys in Xamar are, even if they have grown beards they can't change what they did in the past. No matter how much you try and claim it isn't about tribe, everyone around the world just looks at your leadership and what they are made up off. I don't see them sharing any power. So let me make this clear, Ethiopia was called into our land and invited to fight. I am sure they will stay until the threat is over. Right now there is no fighting going on in Puntland and I’m sure that if Ethiopia wasn't there, we would be at war killing each other, the clan courts have been stopped in their tracks. So please don't speak for all Somalis when you say they are occupiers or whatever, many of us support them and have welcomed them. I know you will say in the future they will never leave or will do terrible things. People are thinking of the present and see a deadly threat approaching.
  5. ^^^ The above underpaid, unpaid starving bloodthirsty Ethio macenaries have one mission: Loot,Rape,Plunder and kill. Be steadfast with the AK and only welcome them when they are corpes Such tough talk for someone no where near the fighting. Those soldiers are already welcomed on Somali Soil; they are massing there daily. There's no protest in Gaalkayo or Baidoa, the only ones’ that are against the forgien peacekeepers are the Clan courts, but lets be honest if we didn’t have them on our land we'd be at war right now and thousands would be dying. The clan courts and their Arab masters have been stopped in their tracks. Right now there is no full-scale war, this is due to Forgein involvement. What happened in Kismaayo? Even though they promised not to expand, they did. These imposters can’t be trusted, and you’ll see they’ll be more and more troops from all over coming. If they think Ethiopia is a headache, just wait and see.
  6. Puntland Aiport Here's some more pic's from puntlandgov.net. It seems 16 years on; people are still showing us pics of guys with guns and technical's. Everywhere else in the world is developing but these guys in the South seem to only know war. They have no sense of governing peacefully. They have an airport and sea port that Siad's regime rebuilt, they could make Xamar into the best city in Somalia. Puntland has to start from scratch and built their infrastructure. If only the clan courts had some good visionary leadership. They would build their land first then focus on others. I bet they wouldn't even have to take over lands by force, people would want to join them.
  7. It's exciting to see such positive things. It seems people that one day were supporting warlords are all of a sudden religious. It's fine.
  8. Runway I love the sign in the back. Exactly what Puntlands mind set is. If only those in the South could adopt this as well.
  9. Link I think this is basically saying we are adopting Islamic law, but the clan courts in Xamar shouldn't think we are moving towards them. MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) -- The president of a semiautonomous region in northeastern Somalia vowed Tuesday to resist the expansion of Islamic militants in the country, saying his administration won't accept "radicalism and extremism." Puntland President Gen. Addeh Museh spoke one day after making a surprising announcement that he will rule according to Islamic law -- a decision some believe was a way to head off a takeover by the increasingly powerful militants. The United States has accused the Islamic movement of sheltering suspects in the 1998 al Qaeda bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, and Osama bin Laden has said Somalia is a battleground in his war on the West. "We will continue to resist the spread of Islamic militants," Museh told The Associated Press. Puntland usually enforces a secular penal code, even though the region's charter says it is based on the Quran. Museh said he issued Monday's decree after meeting with the region's top clerics, but he didn't elaborate. Puntland, which declared itself an autonomous state within Somalia in 1998, generally has been spared the violence that has wracked much of the country. But radicals within the Council of Islamic Courts have vowed to take over. "Our decision that to use Islamic law will be different from the type of militant Islam in Mogadishu," where the Islamic courts are in control, Museh said. "We do not want to politicize the Islamic religion." Somalia has not had an effective government since 1991, when warlords overthrew a dictator and then turned on each other. The current administration was formed with the help of the United Nations two years ago, but it has failed to assert any real control outside the southern town of Baidoa, where it is based. Meanwhile, the Islamic courts steadily have gained ground since taking over the capital, Mogadishu, in June, and now control much of southern Somalia. The group's relations with the government have been severely strained, particularly because military advisers from neighboring Ethiopia are helping the government. Witnesses in a town about 37 miles (60 kilometers) from the government base of Baidoa said Tuesday that Ethiopian troops clashed with forces loyal to the Islamists, and that three Ethiopians were killed overnight. Calls to the acting Ethiopian foreign ministry spokesman rang unanswered after business hours Tuesday. Museh told the AP on Monday that he welcomed peace talks between the government and the Islamic courts, saying, "We believe that the government's reconciliation efforts and peace process would be fruitful."
  10. See the tribal courts and their followers only consider forgiving people who fall under certain tribes. This is exactly why President Cade said that they oppose Puntland and President Abdullahi Yusuf because of tribe and this is also why we call them clan courts. For these imposters in Mogadishu and their supports, their is no talk of forgiveness for certain regions. This is why they will never succeed.
  11. That's exactly it, a good leader meets the demands of his people. The clan courts have wanted Puntland for a long time; their justification was to bring Islamic Law to all the areas. Well now, what will they use as an excuse since it is coming? They will never force their leader out of power, just like Somaliland never will. Both know that will lead to fighting, which is something they've avoided for so many years. They were voted in and if the people want a change, they will do it the peaceful way. I don’t think those in the South can comprehend this though, they've only had peace for less then a 6 months and only know how to wage war.
  12. The clan courts did a lot for Xamar, but other regions in Somalia addressed the violence along time ago, but what they did is still impressive. Getting rid of khat was amazing to; of course it is not fair for people that depended on it to feed their family. When I was Somalia the majority were women selling it on the street, who I’m sure used the money from it to feed their families. They must give them an alternative before they banned it. The clan courts are exactly that, a Clan! Which happens to be their biggest weakness. Their leadership and decision-makers are one single TRIBE. I see absolutely no diversity from other region in Somalia. The day they start including all Somalis, they will gain everyone's support. They've had enough time to start, but haven't. Of course they have supports all over Somalia, but even they are hesitant to really act because of the shady actions of the courts concerning diversity. If they were true wadaads they would not care about tribes, and you would see all Somalis included in their decision making process. See the TFG at least has people from all over. Regardless of what you might think of these people they are still key players in those areas. The clan courts have not and I truly doubt ever will allow other people from different regions leading them. Somalis need a leadership that is diverse and who are willing to put the past behind them. I do believe this can only be accomplished through Islam, but not the way these guys in Xamar are doing it.
  13. Everyone knows the have control of the place, so that can't be a reason. You can prove you have prisoners without releasing them and most of all, those same so called prisoners are just gonna go back and fight against them again. Believe what you want, but no army in the world releases prisoner’s 2 days after a battle. Honestly, I can't believe i'm having this argument.
  14. Wow, if that isn’t proof that they didn’t capture anyone, I don’t know what is. Who in the world releases prisoners a few days after a battle? Have you ever heard of that, so quickly? I guess it was hard for them to keep lying about their claim to have them, so they just made this statement saying they had released them. So let’s say that they did release these guys, what do you think they will do? Umm, i'm pretty sure they'll go back to fighting. These guys and their unbelievable lies, and then they call themselves Wadaads.
  15. Sure, I can tell you exactly. Not even six months ago many of those same men you are now calling Mujahideen were fighting for the warlords. These are the same men that kept Xamar in the same terrible condition for so many years. They kept roadblocks and stop medical aid from reaching people. These same men that just a few months ago you were calling killers have decided to join the winning side. After the so-called wadaads won in Xamar; they offered those defeated killers the ability to continue fighting with pay. See these are the same men that executed unarmed wounded fighters in a hospital, murdered a innocent nun, shot an innocent reporter. Regardless how they prance around, many are still the same killers and rapists.
  16. Remember your courts are made up of one tribe!!! All it's leaders are one tribe! It's easy to try and brush away the tribal issue for you and them, because that is your biggest weakness. They call themselves Islamic Union, but their decision makers are one tribe. What kind of union is that? Of course the tribal issue is one you want everyone to stop talking about, but they will never have other leaders from somalia as their number 1 and 2. So if you have a problem with people talking about tribal issues, start with your tribal courts.
  17. Please Qaybdiid is welcome in Puntland and has huge support among his people in South Gaalkayo. The clan courts accept warlords like Indha Cade because he helps their cause. We will see the out come of this battle, Puntland has seen this many times. On another note, the thing I like about horseednet is that it actually uses pictures on its site. You can tell they put more of an effort in reporting. Most of the other sites are writing from Europe, Australia and North America and use only people they call by phone as sources. Even though Horseed is based in Holland, it still puts the effort to include pics, to show they have people on the front lines.
  18. Ok, I guess that's the closest I’ll get to you admitting your two leaders hiding in Xamar are cowards. They have never left that city, and to that I guess you have no defense. We are friends now!!!!
  19. Exactly my point!! You insulted our leader and I am simply pointing out Aweys and Sharif are cowards that take pictures holding a guns, but would never dare go near any fighting. Look where they are now, they never leave that city!!!
  20. Yeah side step the question.....fact of the matter is, your leaders are cowards and would never enter into battle. Why dont aweys or sharif come to the frontlines? If they were men, Sharif and Aweys would be leading the charge, and not hiding in Xamar. I never knew people follow such cowardly leaders.
  21. Wow, now they are insulting our leaders. Well at least he is on the front lines, where the fight will take place, he is not holding an AK-47 100s of kilometers away from the battle, looking for photo opportunities. I dare your clan court leaders to come to the front lines, if they were true wadaads they'd have no fear of dying. But they will never do that. So insult our leader all you want, that's fine. At least he is where the action is. Sharif or Aweys would never ever lead anyone into battle. [ November 13, 2006, 04:06 AM: Message edited by: Libaax-Sankataabte ]
