  1. ^ Poor Che, this is usually the case whenever I visit my cousins and all they talk about is babies, teething, immunizations, breathable cotton for sleeping, home made food versus bought and all kinds of things that are not in a childless persons vocabulary. You just sit there smiling and being busy with your tea thinking whatever happened to the people you were before you had kids? It’s scary and incredibly boring.
  2. Juxa, they are just the noisiest, ignore them...
  3. crimewatch UK baad iga daawin, iyagoo leh "first Somali father to commit honour killing" LooooooooooL The whole boqor business went over my head but that is halarious.
  4. CL,I get it. I was thinking how a so called person with none pure blood reaches this elevated state of nobleness. Oh well. Sounds like most Somalis still suffer from a delusional case of "anako reer hebel hebel eh" and glorifying yourself to a state of royal superiority. Kind of sad really.
  5. I thought Nasabnimo was about dignity and integrity? And even if it is about blood, how does one 'purify' one's blood?
  6. Juxa I agree, if anyone sits around asking questions like that...waxba meesha ma uyaalan.
  7. lol@kibir, naag madow aa? That’s a new one. Naagaha madow aman ha la siiyo. The equilibrium just needs to be readdressed, nothing wrong with short guys, as long as there aren’t more of them than tall ones…
  8. Malika why not just call her out on it next time she makes a comment, as in clarify it and challenge it. Jealousy is the beginning of death in a friendship, too poisonous.
  9. FuFu, hope you’re all right. JB, that sounds like a case for Criminal Minds. What happened to all the tall men? Wax dhulka ku dhagan lee yacaayo.
  10. This condescending exchange is getting boring. It’s like trying to convince an atheist about one’s faith. It is futile as from a cynical perspective you will no doubt only arrive at negative conclusions. And I actually have work to do, good day CL .
  11. Stop twisting my words CL. The icing “Anyway, convincing you if anything is out there is guy's job after all and not mine...” If you are a heterosexual woman, it is natural to assume you may experience romantic love with a man, or do you think your girlfriends, coffee or chocolate will be a good substitute? What does this have anything to do with being incomplete? Why can't a complete woman find a complete man and share a life as two complete human beings?
  12. Originally posted by cynical lady: anyhow I’m offended by the idea of waiting/ ie as a woman your incomplete until a man comes into your life and saves her because….his the key to her happiness. BULSHIDH Who said anything about being incomplete? If that's your take on things no wonder. As for the rest CL I would really be foolish to try to convince you. Juxa not quiet my definition.
  13. You misunderstood me, I meant if you believed in love you might feel like loosing out by allowing yourself to be in that state of mind, thus you choose not to believe it, as in it wouldn't be beneficial to you etc. Nothing to do with other ppl. Things that are shoved down others throats also include trying to convince believers of the futility of believing in love Anyway, convincing you if anything is out there is guy's job after all and not mine so I shall leave it at that...
  14. Hello Faheema and Ibti. Ibti, you mentioned the above reasons, not I . Those are all confused excuses. Are you denying that there is still this idea that you will somehow loose out if you accept that love can exsist between two people?
  15. CL, no insults intended . The cynics I’ve observed are mostly those who think they can protect themselves from getting hurt by rejecting the idea of love/love itself before it rejects them. I think it's better to be dreamy and "naïve" than dismissive and cynical any day. You can be realistic and still believe in lasting romantic love between a man and a woman.
  16. lol@sad look, what sheeko. Biggest cynics are usually closet believers so take your tough act elsewhere It’s one of those things, everybody discredits it but secretly hopes for it. CL

I hope that belief backfires on your majourly one day soon. Just because everyone won't experience it does not mean it doesn't exist. Anyway, I'm tired of trying to convince cynics...
  18. Norf he is a special case, runs a whole institution, sounds more like not enough hours in the day for him to fit everything in. I guess being brilliant and world renowned comes with a prize. Norf is looking very lazy in comparsion to the workaholic insomniacs
  19. Norf, I hate it too when everyone looks the same, no sense of originality, it kills the spirit. Why are Americans such workaholics? I have an editor in Boston up at 4, 5 am in the morning doing work.
  20. Morning & happy new year trollers, Ladies, pleas don’t get UGG boots, they are fugly and very chav like, if you go to timberlands or any other outdoor activity store you will find nice warm snow/rain resistant boots that have warm sheep lining inside but look decent on the outside, no need to go for UGGs.
  21. lol yes, her thing has 'landed'. All very cryptic but must be something good. I'm off all, happy holidays!
  22. Yeah...like I said come for food at least, if you can tear yourself away from your warm flat, it's on the Picadilly Line.
