If I would describe DC in two words I would say Ghetto Projects. Because it is place intended for a society to loose its values, culture, tradition, morals, and so on. It's a place a notorious place when most people are asked where do you live, they would prefer to tell different city, for the fact that they are afraid of getting teased by other people. Without disrespecting for those who live in there and have sense of dignity it is a place that belongs to the homeless community and not the working mothers and fathers. It is not a place where average people are designed to live in because of its negative environment and crimes. Let me say that for those who are still living in DC "Qoxootiis" to leave there and move to a decent or middle to an high-middle class neighborhood if you want your children and your grand-children to succeed in their lives, if not, the statistics show that 99.999 percent will end up in serious run on with the law. That is my advice. Let me say to teenagers, and young adults who are still living there finish ya'll education if your studying, or save some money if you are a hard worker and evacuate DC as soon as possible, otherwise "Public Assistance" it is a system designed to shatter an individual's lives and dreams. Because one's your hooked on the hook it's hard to let it go because it is design to withstand all the forces that you try to exert in order to relinquesh it. Well Mr. Jibril to some extent I'll agree with you that Somali women have became the "HOT BUTTON ISSUE", whether it comes to the family or in other places. The fact the matter is they(women) are getting brain washed by this Western Civilization and it's glamurous objects such as the qualities that men look when choosing thier soul mate and vice-versa, men's ought to have perfect income in order to be considered as a soul mate, and that the female figure is viewed the dominant individual in the household. However, we as Somalian (Qaxootiis) didn't care all those values when we came to these foreign lands, and instead of learning them we started from the extreme, in other words, we did not climbed the ladder from the first step but jumped to the last step, and that is what caused most of the arrogance in the Somalian community especially the women. I remember (this is real life experience) a serious and horrific scenerio that happened to one of my colleaques. And that is was His wife told him to divorce because he was not satisfying her in the bed and that she found a bantu guy that would satisfy her to the extend she wanted(Come on Now) Give me A Break!!!!! To be honest I have been researching this topic for years and I have being studying the behaveriol process of our people for couple years now and I have concluded that most somalis (Teanagers, and Other Adults)to say do not like to go higher education. For the fact that it's a hereditory process that is to say we are following our forefathers traditional roles that used to be sitting under-trees playing cards, or standing besides cafe's debating about tribal issues(that's very discusting) and politics that we do they don't have any control of what so ever.

It's hard at first glimse to differentiate both but if you take closer look they are both inter-connected. Knowledge is the intellectual experience that a person receives during his/her educational and working years. On the other hand, education is the process and the means of increasing ones intellectual experience in other words education is the physical concept that people go through in order to acquire and broaden their thinking and problem solving strategies. :cool:

I would say if everyone of ya'll were what ya'll are claiming to be our, country would have been peaceful, prosperous, highly developed, and even the "GREATEST NATION IN THE HORN OF AFRICA".
