This guy must seek professor Samatar's advice before its too late.

And why would he do that? Prof Samatar didn't make it to the top job at the last election whilst this guy has just been given probably the second most important job in the Republic.:)

    Good luck to the man.

A secessionists lecturing others on treason. haha What a hoot.

Caraafat is not a secessionist but a confused unionist, he opposes 'clan federalism' in the former Italia Somaliland [ rightly so IMO] but instead of being consistent he instead turns around and advocate a type of confederacy between Hargeisa and Mogadishu. This is where, I believe ,his politics should be attacked.:)

^It is 'this humanitarian and developmental organisation' that built and put together what you'd call Somali government today. It's them that funded, operated and re-located them to where they are today, Villa Somalia. Without 'this humanitarian and developmental organisation' efforts in Muqdisho, Somali government would not none existance. Give credit where it is due waryee.

It's true, IGAD funds the UN mission in Somalia. How did I forget? So what are you saying, that the Mogadishu based government should be subservient to secretariat of IGAD? :D

Do you know that your statement is biased and that our Prophet (SAW) said that: whom so ever struggles for Nationalism ('Asabiya) is not one of our Nation 'ie: the Ummah of Muhammad (SAW)'

Maybe you didn't get me first time, let me try again, the whole ictiraaf seeking from your clan is based on clan nationalism, if you can't admit that when making your arguments, then at worst you're displaying deception or at best you lack self awareness.

Somalia has convened an "extra-ordinary" session of IGAD with observation by AU and international partners. According to the Foreign Minister on her way to Addis Ababa joining up with the Prime Minister on this meeting "Somalia will assert its re-found legitimacy and sovereignty and will target any attempt to preempt the Somali government on its internal political right to lead the stabilization of the country and forming administrations. She says the Somali government will lay to rest the IGAD Grand Stabilization Plan now that it is capable of doing so and will solicit the neighboring countries to walk behind the Somali government officially on the internal political matters of the newly freed regions.

Please refer back to my original posts including some I have said I retracted because of the emotional distress it caused in some corners. This is the first step in the new and energized offensive (the diplomatic component) against the idea the Kismaayo conference is an "IGAD" initiative.

Good move, the government should try to win over these folks and remind them that SL and PL were formed when there was no central authority, now that we have a Federal Authority, then it's right that it leads the process. I doubt any of these neighbouring countries would allow this humanitarian and developmental organisation to shape their internal politics.

  7. This has got nothing to do with the constitution, what the government wants, is to have all the territories occupied by Al- shaabab [ 70/80% of Jubbbaland now] to come under government jurisdiction, remember folks, last time a clan found itself in the presence of no central government, these clansmen declared a 'phantom republic'.[ and now we have Turkey mediating in order to bring these countrymen into the fold of the Republic]. Now the government doesn't want a replay of that farce in the Jubooyinka. So folks these Jubba thing will happen but not in this hasty manner. :)
