  1. What do u guys think about a women marrying someone younger than her? or someone the same age? Would the girls here on SOL entertain such a thing?
  2. ^ Reading comprehension issues eh? Anyway, Abtigiis I'll make dua for u. Illaahay cadowgaaga iyo cadowga soomaaliyeedba ha jabiyo. Ameen.

Taleexi, ur confusing Xaaji Abdi Waraabe with the Suldaanka guud Suldaan Maxamad Suldaan Abdiqaadir. He's the one who said the above, even though he says the media misquoted him, and that he fully supports Khaatumo state and the aspirations of its people.
  4. If the soul is something completely different from the mind and body, then that would mean in the afterlife everyone would be incorporeal and thoughtless. Ur premise is flawed walaal, because thoughts and a corporeal existence will be a reality in the hereafter regardless of the souls relationship with the body or the mind. How else would the inhabitants of paradise experience happiness (thoughts are prequisites for emotions), or sensual pleasure (skin is required) without mind and body. When we are being ressurected, it isn't ghost-like spirits that will emerge from the grave, but complete beings with body, mind and soul.
  5. Bob walaalo, Do u know that the darawiish were created in Burco? Among its leaders was Nuur Amaan, the Sultaan of the HY. Also, many other right hand mans of the Sayid and high ranking members were from the SNM clan. Likewise many from the Sayids clan, those who are considered the progeny of the darawiish today, rebelled against him and his rule. My point is, no clan can claim that only they were part of the darawiish movement, cuz thats historically not true.
  6. Malika iyo Aaliyah, labadiinuba figures-ka keena. May the best man win.
  7. Nolosha gabigeeduba hope bay ku dhisantahay, so im glad I could add to that vital resevoir of communal rajo which all our Somali women can tap into when the options visible from the horizon dont look very promising.
  8. ^ not all of us are like that. Id give the world to my wife, and to anyone else I love. Wats money really? I can name countless things that are more important.
  9. unfortunately Garnaqsi, the boyfriend-girlfriend system is alive and kicking. I condone 'halaal' dating or nadeef dating before marriage, but none of this we'll act like a married couple before were even married to see if we should get married business. We have to remember, the girls are ppls daughters and sisters. Just my two cents.
  10. Xaaji reerkiisu waa kuwa marti loogu yahay Hargaysa . They established the city and were its first inahbitants. Even though it belongs to all Somalis now.
  11. If the girl is worth it 7000 aint much. Aaliyah i remember u told us u were getting married soon, make sure u ask for atleast 6000 ugu yaraan, lol.

  14. Walaalayaal, reer khaatumow anaa xaajiga xaal ka bixinayee, ninkan KOW layidhaa maad naga qabataan? lol
  15. KOW ur a sicko, u need psychiatric assessment and possibly institutionalization asap. Kulahaa xoolo dhaqatada gaashaamo waa al-shabaab. Ilaahay baan idinku darshee waxaasi ma miir qab baa?
  16. So xaaji who was in the wrong during the border dispute, the ppl of buuhoodle or the ethiopans? I tried defending u above, but u just made the situation worse for urself lol. Ur on ur own man.
  17. wuu is badalay xaajigu ayaan u malaynayaa, oo baadilkaa iyo xaq daradaa aad ku soo qaqabatay wuu ka waantoobay. Ayaamahan isagoo tageersan Khaatumo ayaa iigu dambaysay. Aar xaajiyow wa lagu haystaaye bal mowqifkaaga cadee.
  18. ^ wat does reer dhaqid entail? That can mean different things to different women. Some want a very involved husband who discusses everything with his wife, and is home most of the time instead of out with the boys. He may also be very specific about how money is spent. Others want a laid back kind of guy, who gives his wife some space and allows her to make most of the daily decisions for the household, but shows his manhood when it comes to big issues. These type of guys also usually dont fret over the spending habits of their wives. Wat style do u think is best?

    Somali people

Very informative. But hey guys, do u think its a pure coincidence that 10 or 11 out of the 12 people featured on the top left hand corner happen to be from the same clan? I in no way say this stir up any trouble, but i found that to be a curious and indeed potentially troubling fact.

  21. ^ i was talking to the sane and healthy somalis here. Not the diseased and wretched.
  22. lool, i hail from that region, and i know wat ur talking about. But the reer waqooyi style of clan pride is different from the Puntland one, where they honestly believe only they can and should lead other somalis. As for the reer waqooyi pride its the type that is engendered by the nomadic culture which very strong in those regions. The reer waqooyi clan pride is also shared by other strongly nomadic clans in the region such as urs and the ones in kilinka shanaad.
  23. I also agree, and we have to spread goodwill, love and empathy amongst ourselves so that the reconciliation and healing process will be a genuine one. Petty clan politics needs to be a forgotten relic of the past.
  24. armaan beeshaas ka soo jeeda? Im not trying to divide anyone walaal, no one would wish division for his own people. But theres no denying that reerkaas have many who are stil somaliwayn, aniga i waydii. And i agree with u peace is better than war, and inshaAllah the problem with our khaatumo brothers will be solved peacefully in a way that is acceptable to both sides.
