We have to do something about that. We have to do something about the situation. If we don't then who will ? As disagreeable as our people are, theya re still our people and the entire world knows us as Somali. We need to bring our people together, for divided we fall and united we stand - a tall order I know, but we have to be the change that we want to see in the world. We qurbojoog supposedly are the elite of the Somali people, the most affluent, most educated, most travelled - all of this reflects on us. You, I and every person on this board could be making a difference... heck we should be making a difference. But in order to help others, in order to rid our people of their demons, we have to cure ourselves of our own [personal] demons, as Allah (swt) is our witness, we have to have pure, noble and good intentions. We have to try to be a contribution to the solution, not the problem. We need to see the bigger picture, the long term consequences, the untold truths and implications.

  6. I think it would be interesting and beneficial to share the lessons that life has taught you. To write that in a few sentences is a big task but i'll give it a try: - Change is good. Change means adaption, new experience and environments. From changing your house or car, to changing the country in which you reside and your haircut - change is good. You either enjoy it or learn from it. - Mistakes, problems, setbacks are a 'good' thing - in so far as 'what doesnt kill you only makes you stronger'. This may sound cliché, but it means that there is much to learn from 'pain'. - Happines is a state of mind. It really is. However, a certain level of 'detachment' is neccesary to achieve this 'state of mind'. Once you learn to use controlled detachment. - Failling to plan, is planning to fail. - For those who play by the rules or do things by the books, this has been and will forever be their weakness. They have fundamentally misunderstood the parameters of the game. They have failed to see that the sideline is actually a sideplank on which you can walk, if you keep your balance. It can be used to give you room for maneuvre - it is your competitive advantage. - Linked to the one above: know the rules, so that you may 'cheat' effectively. ADD TO!

Please also post the source/link to any picture/project you post, just as a point of reference for anyone who wants to investigate further that particular project.
