If you were given the job of President of Somalia, what would you do?
Alpha Blondy replied to DoctorKenney's topic in General
Dr. Kenny, the truth of the matter is you're not the president of the world's first failed state. 23 years of utter failure and total collapse of it's machinery bears witness to this. it's futile wasting time on idealised bespoke solutions. -
K'naan to direct his first film in Somalia
Alpha Blondy replied to Hassan1508736697's topic in General
his story must convey some social reality. films about reer Somalia's failures rarely tell the Somali version of events. it must be organic and rooted in reality. as a budding screenwriter myself, i could lend K'naan one of the various scripts I've produced so far and he could lend his vocal skills to the soundtrack. -

@Tallaabo said: Yes I know Safferz is one hell of a tough nut. Alpha once made an amateur attempt but sadly ended up biting the dust. Give it up mate what nonsense. Safferz is a little loser. she's irrational. it is good women can't divorce men because they would just delete you like it's nothing. i hear you've got her ear since she's an advocate of is qor bila liis folks. ma ruunba?

for those of you making snide little anti-Russian statements isku xishooda please and cease from promoting western hyperbolic nonsense. i don't have to remind you of Russia's nuclear deterrent capabilities and huge energy reserves. what exactly does the West know about Russia? it's not like in Somalia where the western calamiga iyo deeqbixiyaasha folks make decisions for the government like in Ukraine.

Putin is our only saviour against the EU and the US. the people of the Ukraine cannot be fooled into a ''Ukrainian spring'' despite the facades of martyrdom we see from the rebels. the west attempted to start a revolution in taksim square against Erodgan but they failed miserably. now they have an ex James Bond girl and ex-boxing champion in their ranks as they launch yet another proxy war. we are not impressed ee ya uu sheega.

it would appear Barkhad has fallen victim to a jinx that has now claimed many relative unknowns before him. this shouldn't come as a surprise, particularly when you consider, the long history of pre-Oscar smear campaigns against Actors of black origins. with a BAFTA in the bag already and few other accolades to follow, i'm quite sure he'll become a great tokenist figure in the industry soon. of course, he'll probably sell out and become just another creation of Hollywood. if there was some way of communicating my message to him, i would've advised him to keep a low profile and avoid these sensationalist headline grabbing speculative-wax-la-yidh's all together. i worry he'll become just another one film wonder. he was brilliant in the movie but he'll have to expand on his repertoire of his skills to become a method actor. couple of friends from London were also cast in the movie. they were paid $3,000. their expenses were paid for whilst shooting in Morocco. they have now returned to their normal lives.

@OdaySomali said: Are all the universities for profit? Alpha your response to my questions would also be much appreciated bro. depends. we're living in an era of retail education, abti. what is this ''for profit''? tuition fees? in the case of UoH, it's a public private university. does that make sense.

@SomaliPhilosopher said: Hassan said nothing about the capability of Somali women. He simply inquired into his perceived lack of diversification. This is revealing of your personality. Creating issues of women capability out of thin air. a magician truly. What are you trying to get at? You are a socially conscious human? What is your final act of the night? Maybe you will "refute" SP's "claim" of the inferiority of the white panda are you saying Tallabo is white and a mole? this guy/chick is very knowledgeable of Somali affairs, you know.
