oh God, this is so pitiful. despite working against seemingly impossible odds, they're still working to become a government. you have to give it to the waolweynians, ruunti. -

http://www.somaliaonline.com/community/topic/ideas-for-business-thread/ Skeptic, you ought to reply to people's suggestion. in case you missed this is what i wrote in your previous business ideas thread, see below... a somali art cafe. awesome idea. this would work in the west. slogan….”giving you a taste of Somaliland/Somalia” bespoke high end consulting firm – find something to consult people on. matrimonial services and halal compliant dating (trained maxraams to monitor all successful ‘dates’) administrative business services (to help people fill in application forms, registration service, notary, basic legal compliance services and stuff…) somali alternative and herbal medical shop – Dr. Ali Mao-Aweys -the German-Somali doctor is making millions and he doesn’t cure anything. one-stop-shop for ALL your German Medical treatment (organise flights, accommodation and a choice of hospitals for those ‘obsessed’ with german medicine…) Somaliland souvenir shop. EXCELLENT -e.g - asli mills. ethnic tourism (organised trips to miyaa and other specific places of interests in SL and Somalia)

someone rescue me from this pleasant two way convo with STOIC. i worry he'll see my nice side. OMG, it's like being stuck in a lift with a sand-dweller....
-
^ great to hear the little sand-dweller is doing well. with him at at the helm, i'm quite certain y'all will regain your glory after years of disorientation and desperation. this loss of sharaf can be attributed to your particular generation of sand-dwellers. while y'all left your family compound (Hargeisa-toon-salaxlay corridor) for pastures greener, we've been consolidating our stranglehold over this land. maanta, we can say we've demographically displaced your folks not only in terms of deegaan but also on the population front. according to stats, sand-dwellers are suffering from a population decline. many sand-dwellers are opting to have less children, these days. lol

<cite> @STOIC said:</cite> Warya. You crazy, loony, pitiful monkey soul why blame me for something I have nothing to do with?I concede that you think negatively of the far-reaching creative world of the Sultanites.Too bad if your folks stumbled blindly through their political lives.Genius of sort must have existed in my folks if they stood up to the white man.Sand-diver Juu Juu (UP! UP!) good one. lol. who can compete with y'all? sand-dwellers gob inta kale gun ayuu faisal omar mushteeg yidhi. how is your son, abti? hope all is well? Al.

<cite> @STOIC said:</cite> Why do I still believe you are in Hargeisa or Jigjiga? I mostly don't believe what you write here.. this morning i was summoned to Buckingham Place. i had a meeting with the Queen of England. we spoke at length. i was called to the Place to explain the shocking rumours Cabdi Gahayr once started about her father King George V. i'm not a sand-dweller, so i don't know why i had to explain these ''beri wax la yidhi'' stories. anyways, Cabdi Gahayr was either reer Yonis or reer guleed - balse he was a sand-dweller. he was also a livestock thief and a serious poet. in the 1920s he made slanderous allegations about the non-existence of the British Empire, can you believe that? such was the evocative nature of his powerful poetry, King George V summoned the sand-dweller criminal thug to the British Isles. cala kuli xaal, Cabdi Gahayr was made to eat his words. this was not the first time a sand-dweller lied. Faisal Ali Warabe also lied to Jamal Ali Hussien - Somaliland's best candidate at getting recognition.

pure theatrics. this is probably fabricated.

he was celebrated for no other reason than for being a white man who was an expert in Somali affairs. the Somali academics today are no different. they continue his work, using his maskax and we ought to be wary of their attempts to study us. they cannot be taken serious. they know who they are. avoid them and avoid their uninformed opinions.

Should Somaliland consider reclaiming its ancient Name Macrobia
Alpha Blondy replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
when thomas sanka renamed his country from its french colonial name Upper Volta to Burkina Faso (the land of upright men) and its people Burkinabés, he not only ensured the country broke away with its tormented colonial legacy but in tandem established the conditions for a bright future and a shared new identity. when muhammud ali jinnah negotiated an independent Pakistan from uncompromising hindu zealots, he changed the hindu language previously spoken in the indian subcontinent to urdu and used the arabic script to get closer to the ‘muslim identity’ and away from any previously shared commonalities with India. the reconstructing and reconstituting of a country’s value, according to its own parameters, and of course in the eyes of the international community, are instrumental in creating an ultimate unshakable reality – permanent, unyielding and facts firmly placed on the ground. the rebranding and recreating of national myths and convictions is vital. similarly the re-indoctrination and remolding of people is imperative too. Somaliland MUST follow the historical precedence set by trailblazers like Burkina Faso and Pakistan in transforming itself. the term ‘somali’ has to all intent and purposes become harmfully soiled forever and calling your country Somaliland – combines the two prong legacies of colonialism and the failed reunification and subsequent events proceeding. anything with ‘somali’ evokes negativity and wreck any potential progress and development. the golis mountain range covers about 45% of Somaliland’s land mass from east to west. it also represents the symbolic ideal of unity, unity of a people so closely interlinked, yet, whose inability to unite for a common cause has meant a limbo of sorts and unending purgatory.the changes necessary for such a transformations should start with the immediate obliteration from memory with anything associated with the term ‘somali’, whether prefixed or suffixed. Somaliland MUST be renamed Golisia and its citizens Golisians. the language should be renamed Golisiyana and written in a different script, if necessary and re-branded to make it a closely related but uniquely different to the olde somali language. a new capital city MUST be built in Oog to achieve a geographically balance. these plans will only require a 2/3 majority in both house to be implemented as per the constitution. Golisia is not too far from its deserved place among the countries of the world. hollywood celebrities like ben stiller, Cameron Diaz and the likes of Bono from U2 are to be enlisted and lucrative deals signed to use the rights to the plight of Golisia and Golisians to attract media attention from the most remote and least densely populated corners of Latvia. for 21 years the name ‘Somaliland’ has crippled our destiny, aspirations and collective will. admittedly, it should be noted too that we’ve chosen the wrong path in achieving recognition. how many more years will the good people of somaliland be reliant on the deeqbixiyasha and speculate on the direction of our cursed neighbouring country. victory belongs to those who strive for it. we are at such a critical juncture in our history. and ultimately success belongs to those who take what’s rightfully theirs and by any means necessary….indeed. viva Golisia. -

have you guys ever met ''a fake Somali''. one word - caagdheere. i knew he was Somali despite having that non-Somaliesque look myself. of course, this is the result of spending two generations outside the land of my origins. and yet i could have been mistaken for being a pro-waloweynian bakhti like SOL's very own sand-dweller. there was a Wadanian aspect to the moment. this caagdheere doofar looked more Somali than Barkhad from Captain Phillip. you could tell he was a ''qurbjoog pretending to be a diaspora'', as it were. balse it was his denial of the Af-Somaliga that pissed me off, you know. i waited with bated breath to tribally categories him but the fake american accent ruined the moment. it was fairly oblivious he had some type of speech impairment but i'm quite certain he was a caagdheere. being in a foreign land, in the qurbaha, in the afrikada dheexe, you realise Somaliland barely cuts the cake against the Bantus and the Axmaars, like those reer Somalilander pilgrims who naively wave their flags around during the Hajj - it's futile. the Republic will always be my home balse the Somali label means more to me than most colonially demarcated territorial lines, particularly when in foreign lands, in the qurbaha, in the afrikada dheexe. lakinse, for certain folks, particularly those who've been robbed of their heritage and who've isku dibay Bantu and Axmaar hegemony, we shouldn't be surprised when years of disorientation results in lost of self-respect and Somalidiidnimo.
