three things: 1. marka hore, let me take this opportunity to thank Nin-yaban for starting this timely thread that concides with the local authority elections here in somaliland. the list of candidates should've been drawn from a wider sample of people. having said that, i believe all those nominated for the final round of voting are worthy of being on the electoral poll. 2. the end date for the elections are a long way away and this will result in election fatigue LOL. i would kindly ask Nin-yaban to edit and make it a week at the very longest. 3. where are the international observers and how can we ensure the elections are fair and free?

i won't lie and tell you such thoughts haven't crossed my mind but i want to stay within the realms of normalcy. i do have aspirations to be a political leader someday. before then i want to prepare myself so that my enemies are defeated and silenced. having said that, i do believe power is an infatuation of the many but an authority only enjoyed by a few. 'real power' can only be derived from fear. whether i'm within this select few so far has not been confirmed in my visions.

i'm all for female emancipation but i can see the logic of this policy as it's in the best interest of the woman. tracking pets has the same benefits because you are made aware in case your pet gets lost or mysteriously wanders around. the use of technology makes the saudi's that bit more sinister in their approaches but at least the woman can be monitored for movements that may in the end be the difference between being alive and being killed in an honour killing and buried in the back yard - although that may also mean a dead wife is also an obedient wife. saudi arabia already has draconian policies towards women but the monitoring of woman already happens in western societies in the form of; 1. hiring a Private Investigator 2. hacking into your wife's web activities 3. prying into a woman's bedroom and heading straight for the draw containing undergarments 4. voyeur type activities 5. stalking
