You invite people to your birthday party up to the age of 18, beyond that it should be thrown by others taking you completely by surprise :D ^ you really think Somalis have the mental capacity to organise a party on behalf of others? your people's innate selfishness and complete lack of self-awareness isn't, i'm afraid, capable of doing something beyond their own individual greed and self-interest. that's exactly why i organise the administrative and logistical aspects of my own birthday party. of course, one must pretend to be ''surprised'' by the genuine affection and heart-felt gestures of his people, despite organising his own birthday party.

  3. Somalis are without doubt the most vile and disgusting creatures alive. they have terrible manners, lack respect and suffer from an inferiority complex. none of the traits mentioned on this thread are unique to Somalis. these are universal values and if truth be told, the reality remains, that Somalis, are far from hospitable, kind or trustworthy. the rough arid terrain, the scarce resources, the wars, the pillaging, the murders etc....have all rendered your DNA's as violent and docile. 22 years without a functioning government, as pointed out......... by the BBC, is testament to your ugly nature and complete backwardness.

Count me out of your SOL qaaraan i felt intimidated more in the Somali region than anywhere else in ethiopia walahi. can you speak to Abdi iley and ask him to provide security cover (preferably the Liyo Police) to Saffz. P.S - i'm not fear-mongering Saffz but be safe. the last thing we need is a Canadian citizen in distress. we know what the Canadians authorities are like, in responding, to the plights of their citizens. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Aside from a few meetings and a visit to the university, I'll be a tourist in Addis and the work will begin when I get to Jijiga late next week what precautions are you taking to minimise any dangerous threats to your person? just act like a foreigner and under no circumstances, DO NOT be tempted to use the ramshackle and very basic Amharic, you've learnt so far. waa iga talo, inabti.

  11. that nod of recognition we give each other in foreign lands....... but to ruin it, moments later by asking the so-called ''baraf-jabis/ice-breaker'' question of 'horta yaad ahayd, inaar'? kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

While you were living in the low rent, high rise flats in North London you were being kept out of the posh places with the use of cameras, barbed wires and high security gates and you recreate the same thing in Hargeisa, only this time you are the overfeed bourgeois intimidating the poor man with wires, gates and, possibly, armed guards. Just terrible, the lack of moral convictions.:mad: sometimes, you are too clever, for your own good, inaar....... i've already been accused of 'lacking sharaf' by this old man, after he saw the fortress i constructed. at first, i didn't stand the metaphor-ridden language, these people speak, but now, it makes perfect sense, you know. i'm already ashamed but personal safety is more important ee sida uula soco. 20. y'all would never guess where i went today? alright, i'll tell ya. i went to University of Hargeisa, my spiritual birthplace and where I began my SL adventure almost 3.5 years ago. they had a welcoming lecture for Professor Ahmed Samatar. i even got to shake hands with the new-born Somalilander. he's alright, you know. i reckon, he ought to be appointed Foreign Minister as he has a wealth of experience and an excellent understanding of complex global issues. he can destroy but can he build? remains the REAL questions. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
  21. as y'all know, i've been rebuilding my family house and despite taking the best part of 1 yr and 6months, i've finally completed it, ma garateen? :p fixing barb-wire around the walls of the house was the only thing remaining and thanks to Allah, i've now completed that task.
