  1. Or perhaps how our neighbourly Afrikaan bratharis insult our religion and women by claiming IN THEIR national newspapers that a coaliation of SOmali women in Uganda asked the government to send troops to their couuntry, praying and complaining " “Since the UPDF left [the Democratic Republic of] Congo, we have been praying that they invade our country next. Just when we thought Allah and the African Union had answered our prayers, the selfish Ugandan MPs throw a spanner in the works. And how they are supposedly gagging to ride wid dem Ugandans soldiers: " “ Our Congolese sisters have confided in us that the Ugandan soldiers are good marksmen, both on and off the battlefield. These are precisely the kind of men we need ,” the Somali women said( so these dogs claim)". And apparently here is what one of your African brothers thinks about the Somali mission: "A man claiming to be a UPDF soldier told The Analyst that he was itching to go to Somalia “and you can bet my eagerness has nothing to do with the ruthless Somali warlords”. He said that from what he had seen in the pictures, Somali women appear to be even more beautiful than the Congolese". I suppose he did not listen to his president who said warned against " illicit love affairs with somali women But what is the significance of these crimes and insults, when they are deemed to be minor because, " wax saas ah u galabsan shacabka Soomaaliyeed", by some soMALIS themselves? These are all "excuses" concocted from the imaginations of Arab-inspired mullahs who are fighting against our broud, somali, Afrikaan- daqan, eh? That is about all I could find with a few minutes of googling. The above contributes nothing to the discussion. They said this and that is not the issue here. Now, shall we start with the AMISOM mandate? Reasons they are there? How they could be gotten rid of? Conditions required for them to go? If they leave today what happens? Another govn't collapse? Turf wars? More suffering? Where is Kash?

  12. Geel Jire, I think you have skipped a very pertinent question saxib. I supported AS during their legitimate struggle against Ethiopian occupying forces. But things have changed and people and groups must adapt to changes. This is not a time for war but a time for negotiation. AMISOM are not hunting them down nor are they restricting their movement or are they bombing whole districts in the capital (a sense of perspective is important here). I haven’t been keeping up with Somali politics of late but to-date I don’t think AS have come out and categorically stated what they actually want out of the new circumstances they find themselves in. All we know is that they want AMISOM out. Are they prepared to negotiate to get them out? Are they prepared to commit to ensuring the safety of the govn’t and all citizens? Should they be calling for AMISOM to leave whilst fighting their fellow brethren for control of other areas? You see how important it is for them to come out and SAY what they want and HOW they think it should be achieved? Do I think AMISOM is an occupying force? Yes I do. Do I believe they will leave anytime soon? Not if AS continue to play dumb. Put the guns down and put the political wing in over-drive (if they have a political wing). If anything happens they are the only one's who know where they have stashed their guns. It's a win win. If only they would wake up and see it. Where is Kash?
  13. Good stuff old boy. Did you go to Laas Geel? Berbera? Shiekh? Burco? Did you get served tea with 10 spoons fulls of sugar already stirred in? Laxoox wadani ma cuntay? Caano geel ma cabtay? Miyigii ma gaadhay?
  14. You want AMISOM to leave we get that much. But apart from that, maxaad rabtaan? How do you see Sheikh Sharif and his govn’t? Are you willing to compromise? Are you willing to integrate into police/military forces? What is your beef?
  15. Good to see things haven’t changed at Djibouti airport! LoooL at the Dubai take off shananigans. The jounney tends to be fun.

  19. Kashka, when an opportunity (Sheikh Sharif becoming President) arises and there is a chance Somalia can turn a new page, one has NO OPTION but to support it. No man is perfect just like no entity is perfect just like no road is smooth especially the road towards peace in Somalia. The sooner you realise this the better. What do you propose? What should happen? Who should be in charge? How will Somalia attain peace? You need a reality check saxib.
  20. AA is a one trick pony. If he wants to involve himself in commenting on today's political landscape and the individuals therein, it is incumbent on him to deliver something other than a repetitive and somewhat tedious line highlighting what is already quite obvious to most. At the moment it’s like hearing the same jokes from the same comedian at every opportunity afforded to him.
  21. Originally posted by AYOUB: ^^ One does not have to find it funny. North said the cartoon did not carry "any messege" and was "meaningless". Not true. At home, Sh. Sharif and his guests are not allowed the luxurious reception he received in Turkey. That's why he was in Turkey after all, is it not? The message is one known to all Ayoubow. He depicts nothing new. We all know the president is not safe in Somalia. Some will find the piece funny and others will find it tasteless. What I'm questioning in Amin's sense of purpose. What does he think he is here for? To merely take the piss at every given opportunity? Thats easy.
