  1. QANCIYE and Wiilo, Bring your solutions of how to help our brothers and sisters who are Somalis and Palestinians. Will Allah deny me reward for supporting Palestine and who exactly are going to support them if we leave them alone with armies that big? The thing is, you two bring the argument that Im favouring Palestinians over Somalis, Im helping both for your question when the call is required. I want to know what exactly you two are doing apart from helping the people who are in need of our support now and urgently. As Im writing this one of the worst atrocities witnessed to innocent civilians ever recorded is taking place in Gaza, who is going to help them if their muslim brothers and sisters desert them. This is not an issue between arabs or what have you, its between who are following the quran and the sunnah, and if you find me any ahadith or verse to say I cannot give hand to this brothers and sisters then put it on the table because I have many I can give to justify my deeds.
  2. Devilangle, If you follow Allah swt, you would know that nations and tribes was only created so that people may know eachother from one another, not so that we stay loyal to a nation so much that we take it over the message of Allah which is what you have done if you havent read the verse. A Palestinian is a brother to me as much as a Somalian, and the reason we are not united is because we have gone away from the teachings of Quran and favour our nations and tribes. I have said that we need to support all brothers and sisters who are suffering and we seek only the reward of Allah when we do this. So please brother get this nationalist ideology off your head, Im only a Somali because I speak the language just like Prophet(pbuh) said a Arab is only a Arab because he speaks Arabic which compliments the Quran that states: "Oh human beings! Behold. We (God) have created you all out of a male and a female, and have made you into nations and tribes, so that you might come to know and cherish one another. Verily, the noblest of you in the sight of God is the one who is most deeply conscious of Him. Behold, God is All-Knowing, All-Aware." (Quran 49:13) So if you want to help Somalia and the Ummah as a whole get away from this nationalistic ideology that is dividing us from one another.
  3. Exactly Ibtisam, we need to be more productive than give statements that put people off. Imagine if this was a war situation and soldiers circulated fear and weakness? They would run away. In the same way we need solutions and be more active instead of feeling sorry for ourselves and giving the impression that its too much of a job to do. I have recieved email back from the BBC and they understood why I was disapointed with their coverage and they would circle my message around their offices. I feel upbeat about this, I cant say they are lying and not going to do anything to change because I dont know them personaly. But I would be sure they would act if just 30 muslims sent complaint this week. So we need to inform others as well to partcipate, we are 2.5 million muslims here and that is high number and we can really make difference to the policy of the Media and Government.

    Cutting Costs.

Exactly Nur. No law can match up to the laws of Allah since He knows how His creation work. You only mentioned criminal laws, there are so many more benifits such as corporte laws fighting against riba. Meetings between the G8 wouldnt even be necessary anymore.

    BBC vs TNG

Look at the propoganda, You cant take the truth that things are looking since the Islam Courts took power. Your critisizing the BBC on the report they gave which is ****** because all they did was asking ordinary people how their lives have changed, and the people themselves refuted any so called terror cells. I think its time you open your eyes and give respect where its due, even western news groups are starting to see the propoganda and rubbish the TFG are on.
  6. Asalamu Alaykum, We need to get active brothers and sisters and not get into endless debates. The topic is Help Palestine. I have not favoured the Palestinian people over the Somali people, we are all from one ummah and if one part of us feel pain the rest will also feel the pain. We should help Somalia as well by lobbying these media organisations especially BBC since we pay our hard earned money to them every year. As well as Ibtisan said we should support those that are helping the cause of the Palestinians as well such as Jon Snow and others and lobby our MPs. There is more lobbying going on by the Jews than the muslims even though its we who are getting attacked on a daily basis. What would it hurt if you sent a simple letter to the BBC complains site expressing your views or lobbying your MP that gets paid essentially to be of your service? We shouldnt always blame and say oh the Zionist are so evil, the media is so biased, the west is against muslims and sleep on it. I urge you all to be more productive than that and abide by the teachings of the Holy Quran when it says: “Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong: They are the ones to attain felicity.†(3:104)
  7. General_Duke, who is more honoured than the one who fights for the sake of Allah? You sit in your confort house in the west and disrespect those who defend our religion and nation as weak. Somalia may not have the money or the weapons as Ethiopia, but never forget the help of Allah when someone is fighting for His cause.
  8. General_Duke, Your chatting rubbish, your sources are baseless. If the islamic courts is most dangerous to peace why is everyone in the capital saying its the best its been since 15 years ago? Maybe you dont like peace but take your tribe over the interest of the people. Lets face it, the TFG will never be accepted by the Somali people so unless they have another elections(FAIR) then they can still stay as weak as they are now. We dont need another dictator
  9. Allamagan, ofcourse it works, have you tried it before? I know of a muslim BBC presenter who said that it only takes 30 complaints for a full investigation to take place. How else do you think zionist lobbies work, they send many replies and urge you to get involved. Its sad not many have replied and show interest in this important topic, I hope you realise that its time to stop always blaming others and be active. And prayer is the most important, your right we should call on the support of Allah to make our task easy for us inshallah.
  10. The issue in Palestine is intensing and our innocent brothers and sisters are dying. We need to help our brothers and sisters in every way we can, and I urge you brothers and sisters to send a complaint to the BBC abou the bias news regarding the Israeli soldier and as a result the whole of Gaza being broken to pieces. The imaans in the khutba called on all muslims to send their complaint. I also urge you that you give your Duaa to your brothers and sisters of Islam. BBC complaints website is: http://www.bbc.co.uk/complaints/make_complaint_step1.shtml I have sent my message to the BBC and it may not be great but at least I have made myself heard. You can use it as your guidance if you wish. Here it is: Dear BBC, I pay my subscription fee to the BBC every year and appreciate many of the programmes that are shown in the channel. However I am very disappointed that whenever there is news about the issue regarding Palestine and Israel, the BBC sympathises with the Israelis more than they do with the Palestinians. This could be seen clearly from the news regarding the Israeli soldier being held. We have to look at facts here. Around two weeks ago, a little girl was on the beach with her family. As she went to swim in the sea her whole family was blown to pieces by Israeli attack from the Sea. What would you have done if that was a little girl you knew? In the past three weeks there have been a dozens of Palestinians killed including innocent women and children. Can you name any Israeli innocent women and children killed by Palestinians in the past 2 months. You have to realize that the taking of this soldier is a direct result of the military aggression that Israel commits every day in the lands of Palestinians. You emphasize in the BBC that Israel wants their soldier back, what about the thousands of innocent Palestinians locked in jail and the recent abduction of members of parliament. The killings of these innocent Palestinians are still going on and the fact that the people of this country haven’t awoken to the sickening aggression by the Israelis is directly linked to the bias news in favour of Israel that you broadcast every day. I am sorry if you feel offended by what I have said, but I pay a lot of money to the BBC and in return I would like it that you broadcast facts and clarity on what is going in the Palestine Israel conflict rather than siding with one people or the other. I hope you take this into consideration because there are innocent people dying in Palestine at the moment and we need to know about these issues, a Palestinian life is equal to an Israelis and I urge that you make the news equal for both people. Jazakallah Khair
  11. There are some people in hear that speaking in a state of disbeliever. Tell me why do you make haram what Allah has made halal? Why dont you follow the commandments of Allah as the Messenger(pbuh) and his early companions did? Allah commands that the punishment for rape and adultry is the stonning of death. If all the evidence is available for conviction then what is the problem? This is a commandment by Allah and one could be in a state of kufr by making a law by Allah haram when its halal.
  12. There's been many topics recently and I just want to find out which side people stand. Do provide your reasons for why you choose one or the other. Personally my choice goes to the Islamic courts because of the massive improvements they have made to the capital with regards to safety and unity between different clans. The vote starts so keep posting your views.
  13. IslamOnline.net & News Agencies UNITED NATIONS — A UN security team plans to visit Somalia and hold talks for the first time with its new leaders, the Joint Islamic Courts, which vanquished a US-backed warlord alliance and now in control of much of the northeast of the Horn of Africa nation. "We don't have a lot of information on the courts. We don't know exactly what their intentions are," Francois Lonseny Fall, the special UN envoy for Somalia, told reporters on Monday, June 19, reported Agence France-Presse (AFP). "We are encouraging Somalia's transitional government to enter into a dialogue with the courts," he added. The UN envoy said the security team will pave the way for a visit to Jowhar, about 90 kilometers north of the capital Mogadishu, by another UN team that will discuss the humanitarian needs of the Somali population with the JIC leaders. They want to "see how we open the roads for humanitarian access to humanitarian agencies," he added. Somalia, one of the poorest nations in the world, needs an injection of $326 million to stave off famine, UN officials reported earlier. More than two million people out of an estimated population of 10 million are already on food aid. Political Talks The envoy said the UN would later decide, after consultations with Somalia's east African neighbors, whether to hold political talks with the JIC leaders. A source close to the JIC has told IslamOnline.net that the US embassy in Kenya had officially notified the courts of Washington's desire to enter into a dialogue to stabilize the country. The source said a US delegation is expected to arrive soon in Mogadishu to tackle with JIC leaders a host of issues that are a cause for concern to Washington. Since February, the JIC has led a series of battles against the US-backed Alliance for the Restoration of Peace and Counter-Terrorism (ARPCT), which ruled Mogadishu and parts of Somalia since the ouster of strongman Mohamed Siad Barre in 1991. After seizing Mogadishu early this month, JIC fighters swiftly marched northwards, overrunning Jowhar and a string of other small outposts in Hiiraan region without heavy resistance. Risky Intervention The UN envoy has also warned against an Ethiopian military intervention in Somalia, seeking urgent Security Council action against such an action. "We are at a critical time," Fall told reporters. "If something is not done now, this conflict might have some regional dimension and the Security Council needs to take action." JIC leaders said Ethiopian troops were moving toward the strategic town of Baidoa, some 250 kilometers from Mogadishu and seat of the interim government. Addis Ababa has denied the accusation, saying it had only reinforced troops near its common border with Somalia. The UN envoy said he was not in a position to confirm reports that Ethiopian troops had crossed into Somalia but said there were indications that both the Ethiopians and the JIC were moving forces toward the common border. "There are (troop) movements from both sides," Fall said, pointing to reports of tens of truckloads of Ethiopian troops and artillery heading to the Somali border and of JIC fighters rushing to the frontier. The JIC fighters should stop their troop movements to the border "because there's a risk that if they move close to the border, the Ethiopians might react," Fall said. "Ethiopia is (showing) a lot of interest in the situation in this part of Somalia, particularly Baidoa," he added. Fall spoke to reporters after briefing the 15-nation UN Security Council, which is struggling with a statement on Somalia. Council diplomats, speaking on condition of anonymity, said no decision had been made on whether to support the African Union's push for peacekeepers in Somalia, in part to protect the transitional government. The AU said Monday it wanted to send a mission to Somalia to assess the need for a peacekeeping force in the country shattered by 15 years of civil war. The seven-nation east African grouping, the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD), is planning to dispatch a peacekeeping force to Somalia. But it has run into problems ranging from an existing UN arms embargo on Somalia to opposition from the JIC. Both the African Union and United Nations support the transitional federal government. That administration, the 14th bid to restore central rule to Somalia since 1991, has been unable to enter the once warlord-controlled Mogadishu.
  14. General Duke, you seem to be someone who enjoins that which is corrupt and forbids that which is good. What is your problem, why dont you go and pray and fear Allah for He is oft forgiving most merciful. The movement is that is happening in Somalia, is simply the people being fedup with how things were before and supporting the laws of Allah to bring about justice after it has been proposed to them by the islamic courts with their approval. Lets look at some facts: Was the removal of the warlords a good thing? ...YES, Has there been stability in the streets of Mogadisho since the laws of Allah where introduced....YES So what is this propaganda that you are doing. We are all brothers in islam and should support those who strive in living by the laws of Allah whether they were born in this clan or that clan and we should advice them if they are to make mistakes in their decisions and not critisize Brother also note that the reason why your stuck abroad is because of fear by the warlords and the US backing. Do you then propose that these same people who's kept you away from the lands of your forefathers be returned to power again. Allah most high, gets what He wills whether with you or without you. The battles that are going in Somalia reminds me of the battles of Badr and Uhud were people poor, young and old fought in the cause of Allah against tyrants and those who serve none but their self interest. My love for Somalia is great, but above all my love for Allah and those who strive for His cause is even greater so dont be among the loosers in the day were your father nor mother can help you and dont let your tongue send you to the fire.
