  1. I always found that custom repulsing. Seriously! Gabadhan aan ku siinay? WTF? is she some kind of a freebie? Calaf is qadar and no one should care who gets married when. I have seen plenty people with older sisters get married.

  2. Juxa,

I don't have facebook(maybe I should open one. Hmmm..) but my friends and I are donating through that account.

    CL,

We hate you! How can you love December? It is dark, dreary, cold and it is hurrying you to another year!!

  3. If I hear it I will DEFINETLY call the police. If I see it, I might tell him to stop while dialing the police. But the tricky thing about domestic abuse is you never know if the woman will thank you or attack you herself. Once a woman is used to the abuse she is like a possesed person, lacking all sense of reasoning.

Hada a good friend of mine baan waxaan ka kari la'nahay a man who hit her more than once. She started romanticizing the whole shit. One day she'll swear off of him, the next they're together all lovey-dovey. The family is scared shitless.

  4. KK, your whole 'men are free' come back didnt work! LOL! Marka, lets all treat humans as humans. No depreciation at all.

Mideeda kale, if a woman is gorgeous she has no expiration date. Young and old baa u soo safta.

The whole age issue is in the mind. If you are healthy, fit, and stable and you believe in predestination then there shouldnt be any panic.

  5. I was writing a student a pass to another class when I absent mindedly asked for the date; she said December, 1st and I snapped my head. In disbelief I look at my calendar. Ughh...where O where has time gone??

    Juxa,

I'm with you on the depression thing. Mine starts mid October and ends the year. I feel some distance sadness, like I dont know what I'm sad about but I feel sad. IA, next year will be less eventful for me. I battled some demons this year.

  6. KoolKat, agteyda hadaad joogi laheed faraha yar yarka ah ee wax ku type gareeynaysid aan kaa garaaci lahaa! How dare you compare women to cars! Stop perpetuating this myth right now! LOL! *breathes in and out*.

    NG,

Samuri Swords are best for this type of death. KK qar yaaysan kaa tuurin. Plastic butter knife or kitchen knife will only attract disgrace.

  7. Daud,

Ibti's figures are bit on the high end but I assure you it is NO joke. You should pay the Yarad(when you meet the family)Sooryo(on the Meher day) and some shopping money to your bride-to-be. Also the Meher money, which is however much she asks for. Otherwise you will be considered frugal and waxmatare(your future wife can explain this to you :D ). Good luck and treat the sis well.

  8. Did you call Ibti Nayaa? Be afraid Adam, be very afraid! LOL!

I like your take on this and not only because you're on our side but you broke it down logically.

Men who bash women in groups(and women who do the same)constantly are usually angry about somethingelse.

  9. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!@"wiil masterad ka diyaariyeey Jaamacada Minnesota." :D:D:D

    I'm tempted should I....or shouldnt I.....I will..

Ninka intuu master ka dabo cararayey why didnt he buy a car? He missed too many chances because of his lack of desirable transportation :D:D:Dicon_razz.gif

  10. Oh-Uh another pissed off Cabdi. War heedhe i dhagayso, the fact that you're writing shit like "anaga ajnabi ka dharagnaa iyo cadaan baan ku dari karnaa" tells me that you're at no stage to be with a real Somali girl. You sound very young and immature. Just because the girl who rejected you started walking your direction doesnt mean she changed her mind or wants you.

Mideeda kale, all the shit aad soo taxday, I don't anything tangible. What's wrong with Somalida?

Acuudibilayso, carabaha iyo hindida iska daa. Focus on your studies. And when you think you're ready for a serious relationship find someone respectable and don't judge.

  11. Like every other type of marriages, arranged marriage has its advantages and disadvantages. For one thing, you have your family's complete support. Also, there is "war ha na ceebeynin ee reerkaga dhaqo" involved so the man might feel a bit more responsiblity.

On the other hand, it could be just a complete disaster! You don't know the person, you didnt choose the person and if things go sour you have to worry about the family.

So I say, nah pick your Farah so you won't have regrets.
