    Poetry

Asalamu alaikum..hope you're all well InshaAllah. Thought I'd start a thread dedicated to Islamic poetry...They're very good reminders and fun to read! I'll start, this one's called: Remember Just Remember... When things are down And you are out of your mind Remember just remember Allah is The Kind. When your life is in darkness And nothing is right Remember just remember Through the darkness, Allah is The Light. When nothing makes sense And your heading for demise Remember just remember It doesn't make sense, but Allah is The Wise. When times are troubled And no one seems to care Remember just remember Allah won't hurt you, He is The Fair. When your heart is breaking And your pain makes you fall Remember just remember Allah Sees it all. When you are weak And the road seems long Remember just remember Seek strength from The Strong. When life is a burden And everything is unstable Remember just remember Allah is The Able. When the way is cloudy And there is no one by your side Remember just remember Allah is The Only Guide. When no one wants to listen Or is willing to lend an ear Remember just remember Allah is always ready to hear. When you are poor and penniless And you are stuck in a niche Remember just remember Allah is The Rich. When you are down in your misery And there is nowhere to run Remember just remember You can always run to The One. When you're all alone And your pain has no end Remember just remember And when your scars are hurting And your heart is in fear Remember just remember Allah is really here. Author Unknown

It's IMPOSSIBLE to get a 6280 phone unlocked here in the UK without your service provider doing it for you. Is it that simple in the US? wish I was there

    Help

So I bought a Nokia 6280 phone set to 3G from Amazon for £115. I thought ..what a bargain, if I just ring the network they'd be able to provide me with the restriction code thingy which only cost around £15. To my dissapointment though, they refused on the grounds that the original owner hadn't finished his contract (only been on it for 2 months)and the only way to get the code was to pay £150 for it. To top it all off the seller forgot to includ a charger with the phone which he said on the site he would, so I've had to go buy it myself. Serioulsy feel like I've been cheated with misinformation...the seller mailed me saying it was possible to get it unlocked easily. It's only possible if and only the original ownwer had finished the duration of his contract-which there was no mention of on amazon. I'm thinking of returning the phone. I don't know how much of a refund I'm entitled to as I've thrown all the packaging away ... What to do?! Help

I'm continuously surprised at seemingly smart women who fall for these token gestures of "respect" from men. How is it that it escapes their otherwise fine tuned senses for sniffing out phoneys? Men being nice to women is oxymoronic. It's more accurate to say men pretend to respect women, generally because they need something from them. You could say that about picking women from a que I guess.... but what are the motives behind helping one cross the roads?/helping those lost other than wanting to be helpful?

LOL I know what you mean. When we went to visit 2 years ago we must have got lost somewhere so we asked an arab if he could direct us to so and so and he was like follow me i will take you there- it was about 10 mins walk. Anyhow everytime we had to cross the roads he'd cross half way, stop and ask us all to cross over and the he'd finish crossing the road. he did this for all the roads Masha Allah, it was very impressive.
