  9. ^Somalidu have problems accepting other tribes into their family in many cases - nowadays is obviously a bit better and ppl are accepting each other but deep down many families prefer qof qabilkoda ah. So it will probably take centuries for them to accept nin cad...bt the bottom line even if many of us don't agree with interacial marriages we need to respect them and keep it to ourselves!..no need to treat ppl who choose that way in a negative way!.. Even thou I agree that everyone wants acceptance, at the end of the day ilahaaga uun ayaad acceptanceka ugu muhimsan ka rabtaa...iyo dabcan your family(and hopefully her family will come around)..and those who stare at her or treat her wrong in the public she shouldnt giva damn... salaam
  10. ^If this girl really wanted acceptance nin cad may so xaresateen..indhaadeeg ba ugeeyey indhaadeegaasna wa inay kusi wada..she doesnt need to care about what ppl say about her.
  11. Aliyaah UK is really bad. A woman once stopped me in the street as I was walking towards work. She was headed the same direction so she thought it was convenient to start talking to me. She asked me my tribe, whether my parents were of the same tribe, was I married, if I had any children.......9 minutes of grilling. Half the time I was talking to her 2 kids. Sheekada waxeey kusoo gabagabaysey "Ninkeyga ma taqaana"? Waaah. I told her ma aqaani (abstaining to laugh at her face) Then she follows that crazy question with "Ninkeyga Universal TV uu ka shaqeeya, you must must know him. I told her I dont know her husband nor do I watch Universal TV. Oh and she managed to slip her tribe in the conversation. From that day I vowed not to answer any inquisitive busybody's with a straight answer.............If anyone has the audacity to ask me, I jerk them around so much they walk away sorry they ever started anything. looool adaa ka daran for answering her questions I would have probably walked away right then and there but like North said even Toronto there are people who are into qabiil..I just meant by large no one would just ask you about your qabiil at least not directly. It might be more like oh which city u hail from kinda thing and it might not even be direct more like oh where in somalia u were born..and many times I say hargaisa cuz that's where I was born and ppl reach their own conclusions kama waalo ..at the end of the day when ppl ask us questions we choose if we wanna answer or not..like Nina if they ask u ur qabiil just ignore them unless the person is a close friend of yours oo aad isku dhowdihin at some point ull have to share it.. salaam
  12. Pucca, so what if they are different, no one asked anyone to accept this sister or her hubby. They can just mind their own business!..this girl doesnt need anyone's acceptance but alleheeed. I am guessing the korean dude was just a phase..puuca hada somalinimadeeda ayeey accept gareesay. Alhamdulilah that is a good thing..I am the kind of person who support dadka inay dadkooda ku ekaadaan laakin haday ku ekaanwayaan wa sheeko u taala we don't need to judge them.. salaam
  13. ^agreed. No one ever asks my tribe, and neither do I ask...and the old ladies who come to my house already know my family's tribe and it's given!.. so are u folks saying ppl in the uk would explicitly ask you ..whats your qabiil? hmm! that takes a lot of guts lol salaam
  14. I will answer this hypothetical scenerio no way I would wanna raise my kids in all white poor neighborhood, inshallah they will grow up in a middle class area lol..*living in my lalaland..LOL lets go back to the question, my answer would be yes. Not because those white poor kids behave any different than those jamaican kids but the fact that a somali child will distinguish himself...will see himself as somali kid vs white kid.. where now when they grow up with jamacains or african americans/canadians they think they are one of them. I have seen enough ghetto areas where pakistanis even though they also live in that ghetto area by large they do not mix with somalis or jamaican kids the reason being they see themselves that they are different..somalida waxa qalday madogooda oo ay modeen in ay jamacainka iyo yaguba walaalo yihiin..LOL..sorry guys thats just the way I see it! anyways enough abt other ppl..I am off to my afur. I hope you guys enjoy it too salaam
  15. Che, u'r wlc walaal. ok u guys I gotta go and pray Asr and start on my afur. Subhanalah, I am getting hungry now... salaam
  16. lol@ after tarawiix, waliga tarwiix ma tukatay isma odhan. It is not a place for such things! salaam
  17. Like I said in some of my posts it is not that I hate somalis, im just against the idea of raising kids in a cluttered somali areas...I can go and live in a somali area without being afraid to lose my sharaf iyo dhaqan cuz i'm old enough. The same can't be said for young teenagers..that's all my point was!...it is the truth that anywhere somalis ku bataan caruurta goes crazy...that's just what I observed! I will say it as it is with no sugar coating..I can love my people and at same time say the truth...the truth is usually bitter but hey it is the truth.. salaam
  18. Juxa you are so right hun, but believe me I have seen enough of Che's posts pertaining to giving money to back home..he is pretty passionate. Mashallah we could learn a thing or two from him.. Inshallah sadaqada hala badiyo kadib marki wixi khasab aha la bixiyo..wixi lugu dari karona ha lugu daro.. salaam
  19. ^Isfilito maxa la dhaha lol??...I have a feeling its prolly something bad... I love my somali ppl...nothing but love walaal! salaam
  20. Aaliyah, kalaankal doesn't need a lot of seasoning, only maraq digaag (daadabarood?) ku dar and cook on low heat si uu hilibka u jilco...Markuu jilco basal kula shiil ilaa uu guduuto... Koolkat I have no idea what daadabarood is..maraq digaag makes sense to me lol...anyways sounds so easy. I will try ti insha'allah but I like to add xoga basbas ah, khamuun iyo wixi la mid ah hadaan cunto karinayo!.. thanks for your suggestions. I appreciate it..
  21. I don't really see the point of why he would want to hold her hand outside lol..somali hada nahay waxaas dhaqan mano aha..diintuna horta kama so hor jeedo baan filaya laakin macno badan ma sameenaso..is it show and tell Anyways, insha'allah her family members will slowly accept him when they see the good side of him. And, hopefully they will overlook his skin color. As for the community at large they need to mind their business seriously..or she could always move to a city with a lil less somalis I wish them khyr. May Allah swt bless their marriage.. salaam
  22. I am not accusing anyone of anything, if anyone is accusing someone that is you.. All I am saying is if someone was to be accused Somaliland would make a better candidate..ninka shabab wata wa walaalkood ama inadeerkood.. anyways, you all need a break from politics..It's Ramadan After all!.. salaam
  23. ^His nickname is Alderman, not Elderman..You need glasses A_khadar kidding .. anyways somalidu way iska ficantahay ila xad in lala joogo xoga aad loogu darsamin. You need to have your balance..kolay hadad caruur haysatid you are better off raising them in a place with not that many somalis...kolay that is my opinion And, I am not saying make your kids white washed...bar dhaqankooda dintoda laakin somalidu meshay ku abdantahay usually caruurtu way wareerta ..and they all seem to take after the ghetto culture (ciyaalsuuq attitude yacni) lol..sorry folks lemme steer clear of saying black culture. Or, I will get in trouble like last time.. salam
  24. ^When I was in grade 8, this somali girl in my class saw me eating skittles and she was like don't eat that stuff it has gelatin in it. And, I was like whats that lol..n she explained to me. After she left me I actually finished it lol I have a sweet tooth..bt subhanalah after that incident I did watch out from anything that had gelatin in it...so as long as we do not consume I don't think it is harmful if it is in shampoo or make ups... I don't think there are any gelatin in any of the ingredients this girl added to her lip balm.
  25. alle ha unaxaristo sabar iyo imaan ehelkeedana haka siiyo.. inshallah aan ka faaideesano ramadaantan..ilaaahay wuxu nasiiyay another chance to ask his forgiveness and start a new page!...alle og keena ramadaanta so socota alle ku simi doono.. salaam
