    Most "sijui" people i know don't claim to be somali at all. I don't see anyone disowning them, but the way they speak its like they're completly different people. But i see them as somali and only somali regardless of what they see themselves as or where they were born. My siblings were all born in different countries but i don't see them as arabs or canadians or asians.I used to go out wit this fellow that was half black n half somali(sijui) and everytime he talked about somali ppl he would say "you people" and it used to piss me off.. cuz this guy was raised in a somali home, his mom spoke somali wore dirac n all.. she was ur typical somali woman.. but he would still refer to us as "you people." I never understood why, maybe becuz he wasn't full somali.. but oh well. Still though i got nothing but love for y'all you're still somali.

    lol ya rite! Even pre-teens are having sex now a days its shocking.

     

    I think the reason everyone is sexually frustrated it becuz we're living in a western countries where its okay for men n women to mingle.. while women are half naked. We're exposed to so much sex whether its on tv, magazines, school or the internet. In most western countries its legal for women to walk around topless.

     

    Solutions

     

    - Fasting

     

    If tht doesn't work

     

    - Sex (But fornication is haram!!!)

     

    sooo if fasting doesn't work then i guess the only HALAL solution is

     

    - Marriage

    I am in absolute shock! I hope to God this is a joke. Bismillah that is evil! Aids is not a joke walahi. Well i don't really believe the story.. but if its true that is the most evil thing i ever heard. I couldn't even do that to someone that i hate kuffar or muslim, somali or non-somali. But like someone previously said wat goes around comes around.

     

    And again if the story is true.. it shows that if you mess around with something that has been absolutely forbidden by Allah the consequences are deadly. Well I hope you understand how horrible what you did is, and ask Allah for forgivness for only he can forgive you. And damn you need some help. And if this was some scheme to get attention or make someone laugh.. it isn't funny its sick!!!

    The idea that war brings peace is even more absurd.

     

    There you guys go jumping to conclusions again. Nobody said anything about war!

     

    How can you be trained to do such a thing, the whole concept behind a soldier is to ultimatley use his/her weapon and kill.

     

    The propher (PBUH) and his sahabah trained to go to war... is that immoral and disgusting too. Yes i understand what we're talking about is a kuffar army and they were in jihad... but like i said its not like we're going to go out and kill.

     

    It's you decision and you don't need anybody's advice but just make sure you can live with it.

    ^^ yeah i didn't understand either. Subxanallah he's confused. Whether the story is made up or not there are a lot of ppl who converted from Islam lately.. Just pray that God strenghtens our iman inshallah. This life is only temporary.

    aww thats a sad story walahi... og_moti.. u only cried once in ur life??? even when u were little?

     

    i can't count how much times i cried.. but the day i cried the most was a time when everything was going bad.. my grades were dropping, someone i knew died, i wasn't getting along wit my family or friends, i was just depressed, life didn't make any sense at all. And i was starting to realize so much things that just made me more depressed.. n i had all that stored inside so i just started to cry n cry until tears couldn't come anymore i was depressed 4 a long time but i got over that alhamdulilah

    I want ask u what is ur reasons or excuses- if u have one- that makes u want to join the army?

     

    I don't know about the other sister but MY reason, not EXCUSE is simply because i want to. Its something i've been thinking about for a while, a couple of my friends have done it before and i'm looking forward to it. Its much easier to have your education paid for then taking a loan. Taking off your hijab and training with men is the same sin as going out without your hijab in public and assosiating with men. And you don't even have to remove your hijab

     

    so u will acheave some thing men couldn't in that Field ,

    To other brothers and sisters... don't talk about Haram and halal to some one doesn't know differences between 2 words just try to make her think and ask her questions.

     

    What makes you so sure the sister doesn't know the difference between haram and halal... she just asked a simple question. And just because you live in a muslim country doesn't make you anymore educated (religion wise). Don't be so quick to judge!

    I wonder how would my personality and thinkin have been different if I was not somali..could i have been the same person...(not that i wish to be non somali)..me loves my somali heritage!!!

     

    I thought i was the only one who thought that.

     

    The yawning thing got me yawning.. and when i read Legend of Zu's it had me yawning and smiling... lol damn walahi im still yawning

     

    *yawning again* Another thought that runs through my head is which of the brothers on SOL are the cutest or has the best voice. I got this thing for dark/brown skin n nice voices... icon_razz.gif

     

    I often wonder if this whole world is a big joke and when we all die, we'll just all be permitted to jannah lol.

     

    I also wonder if there is really a mr.right, and if i'll ever get married and have kids.

     

    I wonder if a person close to me died what would happen.

     

    Why does ever generation get stupider than the next. And if we're like this how will our kids be???? :confused:

     

    Everytime i saw ppl on tv running around in the rain barefoot wit just a sundress or lil t-shirts i wondered what it would be like. So i tried it one day.. i went out in the rain wit a silky skirt n took off my dacas when i got to the park.. lool it was GREAT!

    who said anything about going to war? There are some units in the army where one goes for training several weekends for a couple months. They train you, and pay for your school. You don't automatically get drafted into war, and you leave whenever you please, provided you complete the training if you want your school to be paid for. You also get to chose if you want to stay and get promoted to another position. So ppl stop assuming! I'm still thinking about joining the army reserves this summer, i don't know whether its HARAM or not... And inshallah i hope to find out soon.

    whats so degrading about joining the army. My friend is in the army... He goes there once every three weeks, he gets training, and they pay for your university. He's excited about the whole getting your own gun thing lol :rolleyes: You can't take it out unless you got a license. Anyway im looking forward to joining the amry too, just for university n sh!t though. A lot of ppl told me if a war break outs i'll be expected to fight and what not. But inshallah if and when a war breaks out we'll see. I have every intention of joining it, my mom is alright with it. But i don't know if its xaram yet, and im trying to find out

    like lateafa, og_girl, shyhem... n the rest I haven't really seen mixed or lite skinned somalis get picked on.. i have mixed friends.. they get teased sometimes.. but nothing really big.. its all jokes... I'm a lite skinned sista.. i don't think mixed or lite skinned ppl look betta than others.. thats stupid! I prefer darker brothers myself.. most of my good looking friends are dark skinned sisters... So yellow skin ain't all that ppl!
