    Hey i have that problem too... I usually skip anything thats written in somali.. unless it seems really interesting.. den i sound the words out.. and that takes a while lol But its really not that hard.. u know practice makes perfect.. so i practice by reading the somali newspapers or go on somali websites in my own time and teach myself. There is really nothing to it, a little practice is all it requires

    Modesty... sis i can relate to what your saying. My iman is an all time low subxanallah. The only thing still keeping me a muslim i think is my prayers. I mean i pray... but i do everything else.. I want to stop but its difficult. I have a different groups of friends... My friends don't really know much about religion... I love to read so i thought myself a whole lot alhamdulilah.. But temptations are everywhere.. Music, Boys, Going out, jammin and what have you... I can't isolate myself from everyone... Becuz I see my friends at school.. i see them on the block i talk to them online i talk to them on the phone... Staying at home is another thing.. cuz music is playin everywhere... I started comming on here cuz some of the posts are very motivational and inshallah I hope we can help each otha

    Gimme the light??? Girl are u serious... anything reggae gets me hyped up

     

    I can dance to anything with a beat.. but what gets me off the dance floor is when people do the wrong dance to a beat... Like u ever seen brothers who just crip walk all over the floor... If a song wit a gangsta west coast beat is on then thats coo.. but u don't crip walk to usher and Jagged edge. And girls who do the pony tail to just about anything :eek:

    I always used to hear people talking about dreams where something is chasing them and they can't run... or they're falling from a high place and the fall just keeps on going and going... And it was really very strange to me when i heard ppl speak of such dreams... until recently, because i started having dreams of that sort. Or sometimes I have dreams where i see something thats not human like screaming at me, or just starring at me.. but it feels indeed very very real.. and i can neither scream nor move an inch... Or i'll be screaming but no voice comes out...

     

    I'm just wondering if anyone has dreams like that. I heard you're not suppose to share bad dreams or something of that sort... so if someone doesn't feel comfortable sharing then i respect that.... So nomads share your strangest dreams... good or bad

    I now realise that we as men are far a head both professionally and unprofessionaly when it comes to real good gourme dishes.

    im not gonna elaborate on that.. because i myself cannot cook.. but i still haven't seen any guy that can cook as good my girl :D But lately there are a lot of brothers that cook extravegent meals.. Its really shocking.. i remember when i was growing up a somali man that can cook was unheard of to me.... But i guess times are changing and the brothers are starting to realize no woman in the 21st century is gonna prepare him meals while he flicks the remote away..

     

    But until i myself can cook.. or find a man that can cook 4 me ;) lol i'll stick wit hoyo's food, mcdonalds and precooked frozen goodies...

    Walahi im impressed... seriously how could u tell all that from a nickname... everything u said is almost 100% rite.. except i hate going to school.. i love to learn but i hate going to school... assignments are a pain lol There are a lot of friends i haven't kept in touch wit.. but i do keep them in my heart.. and they do complain that i don't return their messages.. but god knows i do try... lol I do see myself as a simple person but everyone else begs to differ.. yes i love to learn other languages.. tried arabic for a while.. then i lost interest... you like to have quite moment and sometimes u like to be alone soo true lol and the guy to imperess u he has to be well dressed before everything lol well personality first...then clothes if ya wanna impress me

     

    but im really impressed
