In tonight’s edition: votes are being tallied in Somaliland in the territory’s first presidential election in seven years; a grenade attack on a concert in the Central African Republic set off a deadly chain of inter-religious violence in Bangui this weekend; and Cameroonians who have fled Boko Haram to refugee camps are threatened with expulsion. Votes are being tallied in the self-proclaimed state of Somaliland, after the territory’s first presidential election in seven years. It had been stalled by a drought, a lack of funds and political turmoil.
