Somali Consultative Conference first phase in Mogadishu second phase in Garowe, capital of Puntland

In the Words of Mahiga Special Representative of the General-Secretary: A great day for Puntland and a great day for Somalia, This comes after TFG President Sharif visited Garowe capital of Puntland and before that the Prime Minister of Somalia, H.E. Abdiwali Mahamed Ali.

 

 

Finally, TFG President Sharif spoke about the anticipated Somali national consultation conference.

 

President Sharif said: “As you all have heard, nowadays there is talk of a consultative meeting that happens either here [Puntland] or in Mogadishu. The president [of Puntland] would love to hold the conference here and I want that too. But I personally requested him [Farole] that we divide into two parts by holding the first conference in Mogadishu, because it’s the capital and there is big change, and the second conference in Garowe.”
