Ethiopia: Breaking the law while Ferenji

You have heard the news, two Swedish journalists embedded with the rebel group ONLF have been detained by security forces in Ethiopia, accused of entering the country illegally.

 

According to news reports, the two journalists were traveling with an armed group of ONLF in Ethiopia's Somali region, also known as the O'gaden, to file a story about the situation in the region.

 

Ethiopia bans all journalists to travel to the region, so these journalists are alleged to have had crossed over the border from Somalia, illegally.

 

The Ethiopian security forces said they killed 15 rebels and captured six in a raid against the ONLF. The two journalists sustained only minor injuries. Obviously the journalists risked their lives to report from the region and should certainly be grateful that they are alive.

 

Based on initial reports and government sources, the two journalists broke the law, by entering the country illegally.

 

Now the question is, will Ethiopia give them a break based on the passport they hold or will they be treated like any other?

well; the ethiopian gove doesn't allow to broadcast the news about the ONLF and other secret homocide they did to the somali pple in ******ia therefore; they were doing this kind actions for a long time, its not just this case,,,,
