Any Known Somali Photographer Just curious?

Hi somali folks,

Look guys iam seriously looking to get in touch with any known Somali photographer/photojournalist becouse i'm working on a project of somali life in S. Africa and basically wanted to see any of their works just to look and learn from them.

My other disburbing question will are any documentation of Somali prefferably in Still image that were done on the Somali culture if any Please i would to look at them coz on the 20 of june will refugee day here in South africa and couple of great photographer enquired from me and i have earching through the Internet just be disppointed folks.

The work should be in Black & white if at all they are there folks.

Any of the folks who knows of the wheather there are documentation in Achieve library around the world should tell me too.

Thika, Mwanzo karibu, Ya pili, walaahi si kumbiki msomali yoyote ambayo ni profesional photojournalist au photographer pahali popote duniani, usipokuwa Somalia. Lakini na taraji unaweza kuta wanafunzi ambayo wako kati ya masomo la photojournalism na masomo lengine kama journalism and telefishioni.

 

In the area I live, which is west-london, there is a fella I know who specialises in talking pictures of all stages of Somali livelyhood. The shop that sells his arts and photos is called GAMAS african heritage. I don't have any website for the shop... But i will try to get you the website name.

Oh I almost forgot ... I guess if you contact the institution that trains Somali for BBC jobs, it can help you with your project.

Thika ok... I think it is a good idea. I will contact that fella and see if i can get you his details. Professional photojournalists is what Somalis and Somalia needs now. Just to document the beauty of our lands.
