Farah, Swedish radio had an item on this issue earlier today. Somalia is the worst affected country in terms of diseases. Lead, mercury (Cadmium!) and radio active materials were swept to the somali coast from the other 11 countries. According to the report, cases of severe respiratory difficulties, nose bleeding and spiting blood have been reported from somalia. The long-term affect is not yet assessed. According to the radio bulletin, we are looking at birth deformities, miscarriages and a decrease of life expectancy.
