Washington, D.C. June 24, 2007, The Somali American Community in the Greater Metropolitan Washington is proud to welcome the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, the Honorable Ali Mohamed Gedi to Washington, D.C.

 

 

The Prime Minister is visiting the United States to meet with American officials, members of both houses of congress and senior staff at key non governmental institutions. The Prime Minister will also meet with the Somali community during his stay.

 

 

This historic visit represents a great opportunity for the legions of Somali Americans, Somali Canadians and Somali citizens in the Diaspora, who support the Somali Transitional Federal Government to welcome the Prime Minister and his delegation.

 

 

The TFG is doing a tremendous job in bringing about much needed stability to Somalia after more than 15 years of lawlessness and religious fanaticism. It is succeeding against great odds, including well-financed opposition of religio-clan groups that are willing to sacrifice national unity and stability to achieve their narrow, radical political ends.

 

 

So, it’s with great pleasure and the source of immense pride that we in the Somali

 

American community welcomes Prime Minister Ali Mohamed Gedi and his delegation to Washington, D.C, and the United States.

Yep,the love is only confined to that hall in Northern Va. The real deal is when he steps out today. People have been travelling this weekend to "greet" the P.M(Puppet Minister) with placards & Demos.

Adeer, people have traveled from Minnesota, Canada, California and the Eastern board to see the man who is the firts genuine PM since the days of Egal, Abdirashid and A/Rizaq.
