Meeting Between the Somaliland Intellectual Forum (SLIF) and the Somaliland Lawyers Association (SOLLA)

On August 18, 2025, a meeting was held between the Somaliland Lawyers Association (SOLLA) and the Somaliland Intellectual Forum (SLIF).
After extensive dialogue and constructive discussion, both parties reached a common understanding and agreed on the following points:

1. To establish full cooperation between SOLLA and SLIF in advancing the national and civic interests of the Republic of Somaliland.

2. To jointly organize legal and academic forums that will contribute positively to the Republic of Somaliland and its institutions.

3. To collaborate in producing legal research initiatives aimed at raising public legal awareness across Somaliland.

4. To work together in the defense of human rights and the promotion of the rule of law.

5. To cooperate in supporting international advocacy efforts currently underway in global forums concerning the recognition of the Republic of Somaliland.

6. To express our full support for the recent call made by U.S. Senator Ted Cruz for the recognition of Somaliland, and to stand firmly behind every effort directed toward securing full international recognition for the Republic of Somaliland.

7. To appeal to the people of Somaliland to reject tribalism and all forms of division, and instead uphold unity, solidarity, and national sovereignty.
