Mogadishu (HOL) — Somali government troops and allied Ma’awisley militia have launched a coordinated mobilization to retake the strategic town of Mahas in the Hiiraan region, days after Al-Shabaab militants seized control in a significant blow to federal counterinsurgency efforts.
