DW and ARD Become Useful Idiots of Secessionists and Terrorists in Somalia

The DW and ARD reporters, who prepared the canard, have turned out to be useful idiots of terrorists and secessionists in the Federal Republic of Somalia.

Mogadishu (PP Editorial) — The English news website of the German public broadcaster, Deutsche Welle, published what it described as an investigative report on two Somali refugees who are in Germany. The report accused Ayuub and Yacqwub, two content creators, of fanning violence in Somalia.

Deutsche Welle has been influenced by Somali secessionists. The Deutsche Welle and ARD reporters were influenced by Somali secessionists who had been offended by Ayuub, one of the content creators, who urged people of Lascanood and condemned forces of the Somaliland Administration, a secessionist entity, whose soldiers in 2023 waged an unjust war against Somali unionists in the Sool region. More than 1,000 civilians have died in Lascanood as a result of indiscriminate shelling by Somaliland Administration forces.

Yacqwub is known for his support for the Federal Government of Somalia and his online campaigns against Al-Shabaab and its sympathisers.

Neither Deutsche Welle nor ARD carried out balanced reporting based on thorough background research on a conflict that lasted nearly seven months and caused death, displacement and destruction.

Edna Adan Ismail, winner of the Templeton Prize, is on record for urging the secessionist forces to “destroy Lascanood, we will build a bigger city.”

The so-called investigative report could have benefited from the knowledge of the German anthropologist Markus Hoehne, who wrote papers and a monograph, Between Somaliland and Puntland: Marginalization, Militarizatiom and Conflicting Political Visions.

Ayub has become popular for his anti-Daesh statements and his pro-Puntland stance after the President of Puntland State of Somalia, Said Abdullahi Deni, last year began to lead the counterterrorism operations against the Islamic State in Somalia, a terrorist outfit also known as Daesh.

The Deutsche Welle and ARD have put a smile on the faces of terrorist remnants and their sympathisers in Somalia. The DW and ARD reporters, who prepared the canard, have turned out to be useful idiots of terrorists and secessionists in the Federal Republic of Somalia. O tempora, o mores!
