The President of Somaliland, Mr. Abdurrahman ciiro  recently convened with a delegation of United Nations diplomats and numerous European ambassadors in Nairobi, where discussions on regional stability and bilateral cooperation took centre stage. The high-level meetings, marked by cordial and productive exchanges, underscored Somaliland's continued commitment to fostering international partnerships and advancing its diplomatic standing on the global stage.

In addition, President Ciiro took the opportunity to engage with members of the Somaliland diaspora in Nairobi, reinforcing the importance of their role in supporting the nation’s development and international advocacy. The president’s interaction with the diaspora was an embodiment of his administration’s focus on strengthening ties with its expatriate community, which remains instrumental in contributing to the country's economic and social progress.

In a significant development for regional connectivity, it was also announced that Kenya Airways will soon commence direct flights between Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland, and Nairobi. This new air route is expected to enhance trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between the two nations, further bolstering Somaliland's regional integration and international engagement.
