WHY WAS SOMALIA DESTROYED? WHY ARE WE A PEOPLE WITHOUT A NATION

Recommended Posts

Salams,

Do you ever think of why something happens to a people/a nation? In the quran Allah destroyed a people and easliy replaced them with another because they did not take his warning seriously and became deviant. I.e. The people of Noah, Yusuf, Lut and etc.

Why are the natives today nearly non existent in the western world? Why are Somalians becoming the people without a country? Forget about Somali land, cause no one recognizes it around the world too.

Surely, Somalis must have deviated from the Quran and Sunnah or else this would not have happend to them. Triblism in Somalia is tantamount to that of the Qureysh and the tribes that existed pre-islam in arabia.

It was a big source of Jahil back then and it is what destroyed the somali people. Tribilism was their Deen and not Islam.

I am asking myself some of these question too?

The answers are always in the Metaphysical and not

in the 'blame who' arguments.

Good question, Khayr. I think your question should really be " Why is Somalia a nation without a state?" though. I know it's been mentioned a MILLION times, but there is truth to the fact that Qabiil-ism was a definite factor in Somalia's collapse. Beyond that, I think it has been a systemic problem. When Somalia first gained independence, leaders rushed into a premature model of democracy, with too many faults to remedy. Secondly, the Barre regime of "scientific socialism"...Well, I guess you could analyze it religiously and argue that it collapsed because it deviated from Islam (certainly true with the simple adoption of socialism), or you can attribute the same downfalls to the Barre regime as any other socialist/communist country that has met the same fate.

Aboow I feel you very much, but unfortunately I don't have the answer. Allah Subxanawatacala will surely guide the Somali people to a better future. We must pray for Allah is very merciful.

Good God

Ha ha ha, its soo sad though that that is the only thing that and a non existant nationalsim that you have going for a united Somalia man that is really nothing. smile.gif

"Nationalism is the last resprt of a scoundrel"

i think religion should have been added to that quote.

Really....well all i can say is better The Quran and Al Islam the very source that has sustained and maintained our society since back in the day, Than the mad rantings of arrogance that leads to such stupid logic.

anyway

Khayr these are questions asked constantly be probably every nomads. Those like us who find ourselves in the privilaged positions that we are in. We can trully see where we have gone astray and to be honest sometimes when i see the attitudes and mindsetts of some somali's who have managed to flee the confilcts to safety, who can observe countless documentries charting and recording somalia's fall into chaos and still not see the reasons i trully dispear.

Only allah (SWT) knows when the situation will change in somalia....but correct me if am wrong It is stated that Allah swt will not change the situations of a ppl before the change themselves....well i can only hope that we will begining to view teh bigg picture and change, otherwise our situation as somali's will remian the same perhaps indeffinatley

SAMIGYRLLLLL,

I would pimp slap you for saying what you said if I was your mother but I am not. So I'll bust a lawsuite against you like a well bred

white man for libel. :D

You are right in asking the question and my answer is the those somali shiekhs and muslims

where not really true to their deen. Tribalism came first, then their Islam.

I posted a question in the regular forum asking

'What you identify yourself with the most'

I.e. 1. Muslim 2. Somali etc.

and those somali shiekh types that I mentioned

would have replied i.e. 1. Ogadayen 2. Ina (whomever) and maybe 3. Muslim

How mixed up people are and no matter how much you tell them them that the Sun sets in the West, they will tell you that it sets in the East.

Why was somalia destroyed,i beleive without mention the qabill talk or any embattled somali presidents at all, i would have to say the fact there were no intelligent ppl who could use their own initiative to see far and the need to stop the ordinary spirits who took pride and pleasure in the downfall of others, who aimed only to thrive at others expense. The intelligent ppl were out numbered and the ordinary ppl therefore took the law into their own hands, and become vigilantes.

Truthfulness and kindness are also something that was missing, which are the sings of happiness of the nation, and also within an individual. We the somali ppl didnt implement it in our day- to-day activities.Unless we do that i dont see a hope for our ppl.

I dont know if that is a valid argument, but thats my beleive! :(
