I like this guy..as he wrote alot of poems by himself..well done...littles by him..

"The youth of Somalia, their dreams shuttered

The mothers of Somalia, their sons killed

The girls of Somalia, their virginity lost

I keep crying till tears emptied from its well

Emotions rising, more lives getting wrecked"

mentioning how it is like back in the day....how the youths are living like...

wonder what it is like right now.......

to:jamaal_11..keep it up broo....

Hibo

Thank you Flight13, i truly appreciate your comment.

I opted to post the whole poem sifted and prepared for publishing, here it comes:

We are black gypsies criss-crossing continents

Persuing our distined success with out bare feets

We have crawled to stand and the learnt to flee

All fates are the same as the learned that acts insane

The doctors of Somalia, the professors failed

The servants of the nation, the poets muted

The kepers of faith, their daughters raped

The youth of Somalia, their dreams shuttered

The mothers f Somalia, their sons killed

The girls of Somalia, their virginity lost

I keep crying till tears emptied from its well

Emotions rising high, more lives getting wrecked

I am left waiting for messiah to decend with hope

Oh, elders so vile scavenging like hyenas

Our youths are reflectionless ghost on blind ambitions

A waste of strength worshiping vissions of illusion

END

That was the poem, i can't do much but to cry out with agony and distress. Is life worthing leading? i dont know, coz one friend of mine killed the his stress off by hanging himself last week. That makes me a victim of what happened to us as Somalis.

Somaliaonline.com staff praise be upon you. This site is supa 4real. keep it up.

I wonder if I view the world the way it's suppose to

be?

My pen touches paper, words flow through me.

No hate in me, none expected,

Only fear for God and the few he selected.

Connected to my family, the way it has to be,

Cause a world without them would be no less than a

tragedy.

Drastically, I question my worth, my sun, moon, and

earth.

How much longer will people still have to hurt?

Even worse, did I do anything to stop it?

I perform no miracles,

Yet every man and woman is just like me,

I wonder if I view the world the way it's suppose to

be?

I wonder if I view the world the way it's suppose to

be?

He loves she, she loves he, they live happily.

No drama, a wonderful life.

Few have visions, decisions for man and wife.

Wife and man in my eyes, my heart, my sunrise,

Mother of his children,.

When he keeps her happy, special things

occur.

A memory of each other.

He hopes the heavens bless her....he tests me.

360 Degrees of openness and ecstasy.

But simply, not all relationships finish, some

deminish,

Some cut off contact and even cut off friendship.

It's happened to so many so very close to me.

I wonder if I view the world the way it's suppose to

be?

I wonder if I view the world the way it's suppose to

be?

Another rainforest tree cut down, a global industry.

No jungle symphony, no fern gully.

Ozone layers depleted, priceless treasure lost to

money.

Ain't it funny? How we neglect what we can't see?

That's why I ask the way it's suppose to be.

Cause if I ask enough, recollection becomes

protection.

Protection from ignorance, too quick to judge,

misconceptions.

Still believe I'm the world's greatest, never

outdated.

Aspire to be from what God has created.

Never unchanging, I must understand my atmosphere,

Still unclear, with fear, I know why I'm here.

Many conceptualize our minds as being young and

undefined,

But I swear I've broken down life more than a thousand

hourglasses of time.

Creation's sublime. Yes we all know it.

All of us in our hearts are creative innovative poets.

Mothers, sons, daughters, and wives.

Sisters, brothers, fathers, and grooms for brides.

We show our pride inside, some say it some write it,

But some fight it, others look to ignite it.

Either way, I know I have the key,

I wonder if I view the world the way it's suppose to

be?

LOVE BY DEFINITION

Love by definition is a deep affection; fondness

Love by vision is sight not blindness

Love by emotion is passion and kindness

Love by group is sharing and togetherness

Love in small portions is enormous none-the-less

Love for your parents, you’ll surely be bless

Love for a crack head, now that’s a test

Love given half way, so where is the rest

Love stolen or taken, that hurts the chest

Love in hard times is always the best

Love by definition, think you understand it yet

a dark night on a corner stood

a dark shadow

moving slowly

slowly pushing itself into the light

then i saw him

he had a rose

a beatiful rose

he came closer n i pushed maself back

i don't want to luv

i don't want to luv

i don't wanna end up miserable

just like every other gurl

that says she is in luv

i just wanna live

live life to the fullest

maybe luv will come along the way

that is if i am able to luv.

Hibo

Najmah_03, nice poems girl, it is the caption of a special moment full of hasitation and deep feeling, while untrusting love and what it holds for you. I really liked that poem, it reminds of a book, written by the african writter "chinua achebe" which i read in primry school years. The writter talks of the first moment that he met a girl, young and vibrant but who not only looks good but also has alot offer. This books talks about the first touch of his flesh and hers, the shallows breathings and the murmers. The physigue of the girl and his rising bodily tempreture noticable in seconds after seconds and changing.

Well, let me not go deeper into this poem but i think it is romantic, especially the place where u mention the figure with a beautifull rose. That was a romantic poem with which i relate to much.

Thanks girl

Hibo

Hey, Najmah_03

Well, i read those books years ago when i was in primary school, but i still remember some stories from those books and also the "crocket rib" by nurraddin farah. Although the best books i read were written mostly by west-africans like wole soyinka i still have one favourite writer that always captures my attention, he is the humanist "ali mazrui".

The funniest story books i remember is the standard 2 book was it or 1 "kantai and the cow" and in standard 3 "friends", stardard 4 was i think "adventures"? lol

Happy days are gone walaahi lol

So najmah, i might know you but if you guve a clue then i can come closer to knowing you.

Girl, dont stop writting poems

Thanks
