Al-Shabaab militants captured in military operation

Somali military said six Al-Shabaab militants have been captured during an operation following a series of bomb attacks in the capital, Mogadishu.

The operation was conducted in the Lower Shabelle region, the most militarized zone in the country.

The army officials pointed out they burned down Al-Shabaab detention centers and released many prisoners.

The operation saw the seizure of small arms, mostly AK47 rifles and ammunition, according to government officials.
