Puntland President Meets Civil Society Members and Political Associations

Garowe (PP News Desk) — Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni yesterday held a meeting with civil society members and political associations in Garowe ahead of his visit to Dhuusamareeb where he will attend a summit on Somalia elections.

A Puntland Presidency press release stated that the aim of the meeting was to share views on the political situation in Somalia and federal elections.

Puntland President will travel to Dhuusamareeb to attend a summit organised by the Federal Government of Somalia to finalise preparations for parliamentary and senatorial selections that will pave the way for the presidential election.

A limited term extension for Somali federal institutions might emerge from the summit to put in place a tight electoral schedule.
