Deeq A. Posted July 9, 2020 Somali regional leaders reached Dhusameeb town of central Somalia on Thursday for talks on the current political and security crisis in the country. According to Galmudug leader, Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qorqor who is hosting the meeting said they will discuss the way forward to resolve differences in the country’s electoral process. Qorqor has invited leaders of Hirshabelle, Puntland, Southwest, and Jubbaland for the summit to focus on the national issues amid a standoff between the FMS and Villa Somalia. Somali President Mohmed Abdullahi Farmajo is set to hold a meeting with the regional leaders soon to end their current stalemate in the country, including the election row.
