Caano Geel Posted February 11, 2007 Never mind the editing, i havent seen worse propoganda since the iraqi 'free elections'. Go they boys/girls in green white and red ey!
Suldaanka Posted February 12, 2007 Sorry if you were expecting a Michael Moore type documentary. But it isn't bad for work done with limited resources, don't you think so Mr. Camel Milk? Why do you reckon this is a propaganda?
RedSea Posted February 12, 2007 ^He can't explain why, he just likes to spit away without expecting anything to be questioned. Those kinda of people are the worst. If you are against something, you must tell, why and how? waa propanda, waana ka sii socdaa, waxaan u aqaan cheap talk amaba sheeko baralay.
Caano Geel Posted February 12, 2007 its propaganda not history. It weaves together a set of horrible and tragic events i.e. italian and birtish clonialisation, and the attacks on waqoyiga to push an agenda/ Essentially its saying that the waqoyi is fundamentally dieffrent to the rest of somalia because the british ba$tardised it and bare blitzed it -- therefore lets raise the flag. These events are tragic and true, but the suffering of the waqooyi is not disconnected from the rest of somalia. all our grand/great parents were subjects of some european power and bare took it out on every one that he didnt like. Those he missed were got by the cannibals that followed him.... so whats the point. The vids editting is terrible not because its not flashy but it misrepresents recent history picking images and points that suite the 'flag' agenda. If that isnt the case why isnt a word said about the countless other massacres that happened to the somalis outside of waqooyi during and after bare. so unwrap the green white and red over your head and open your eyes. RedSea Posted February 12, 2007 ^Every documentary is written or produced to fit one's agenda. The images which you saw were live and uncut if that is what you are refering to here. They do show the exact things that were happening back then. However to dismiss the entire the vidoe as being propaganda is slighty biased from you mr.Caano Geel. In addition, you said to prove that landers were 'basterdized' by the British, that is just hate filled statement, one expected from low intellects, I am disapointed you had to make that statement. P.S, this ducumentry hightlights the things that went on in certain parts not the whole country. you should have realized that.
Caano Geel Posted February 12, 2007 Saaxiib, wrt 'landers', you generally insult people when you name them after their colonisers and oppressors. Btw. if the british wernt turning teh waqooyi into their livestock garrison for Aden and killing anyone in their way .. what extacly where they doing there ?! I dont know, maybe i just missed the 'glory' days
RedSea Posted February 12, 2007 ^Who said, the era of colony was a 'glory'day? The British were gumaystayaal sxb. Cajiib. It's a one of the things said by few about us that we some how glorify the British rule and gumaysi, we dont', and no body appriciates a coloniser sxb. Somaliland= land that belongs to Somalis.
