TechBoy Posted May 27, 2003 See ..printers (Inkjet and laser) normally have 2 problems: 1-Light or poor print quality — Can be caused by the a low level of ink in the ink reservoir. You should replace the ink cartridge and run several test pages. If the test appears to smear, the printer may be dispensing too much ink, or the quality of paper may be inferior. 2-Paper jams — First, you need to determine whether the paper is jamming at the entrance or while exiting. The fuser assembly can be considered the midway point. Make sure the pickup rollers are free of dirt or oil and are not worn or cracked. Make sure the paper path is free of paper and debris.
